The area of the valley between Pisac and Ollantaytambo is known as the Sacred Valley Tour of the Incas. On this tour, we will drive through the mountains of the Sacred Valley of the Incas which held great significance in Inca Culture as salt pools, which act as evaporation chambers. They spill out of the mountain and down the mountainside at 12,000 feet above sea level. Owned by local farmers, these pools have become the main economic activity for all the locals. The Valley has a milder climate than Cusco. You will see a succession of picturesque villages, agricultural terraces, and several archeological sites.

We did a two day Inca Trail hike and Machu Picchu tour with Elio, and we are incredibly grateful that we had Elio as our guide. He is super knowledgeable and his sense of humor made the trip even more fun. We enjoyed our time with him so much that we hired him for a private tour of Moray and the Maras Salt Mines. When our time with Elio came to an end, we were saying goodbye to a friend, not a tour guide. We really recommend booking Elio as your tour guide! He does customized private tours based on your interests, so reach out to him and let him know what you have in mind and he can plan you a phenomenal tour!

Adolfo is the most attentive guide you will ever have in any vacation. The World Explorer crew was available to us 24/7 via phone and Whatsapp so it was always easy to communicate. The tours where very organized and on time. The guides where extremely helpful when it came to explaining but also had a lot of patience when it came to waiting for the group to take their photos. The food offered in the tours is delicious and clean. The prices were amazing, even if you are to sign up for a private tour i doubt you could find something cheaper of the same quality anywhere. There are many things to do in Cuzco, from the sacred valley, to the salt mines, the city tour, the rainbow mountain, Machu Picchu and many other activities. If you want a full complete tour, look no further than world explorers.

The hike was tiring but rewarding. Beautiful views. Took us about 3 hours roundtrip. Wear many layers. Our guide was friendly, not great English. The breakfast and lunch were okay, at the same restaurant. No toilet paper in the restroom. The roads were bumpy and the ride was uncomfortable. Our van broke down on the way back and we had to hop on another group’s van. They dropped us off at the town center rather than our hotel, so we had to walk back 12 min.

I loved my Machu Pichu travel and especially the tour agents who helped with my transport between places.I particularly liked their help with transport. My trip was a 3 day from usa and never did I miss any planned attraction. The hotel accommodation at machu pichu could have been better for the price value but I felt transport/tour agents justified it.

However, it was victim of the extirpation of idolatries, action that replaced the traditional deities by Catholic ones, in order to transform popular beliefs. The archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers. Finally visit the citadel of Pisac. Truly recommend this trip to everyone who is fed up with the modern consumption world. A magic spiritual place, very well organised tour from the very first minute, starts from picking up from your hotel, till last one. The guide who accompanied us - MARCO, was very helpful, incredibly knowledgeable and prepared to answer every single question we had, regarding not only Maccu Picchu but also about Peru history, traditions and culture. This add a lot of additional value to our trip. About the place and the feelings that it brought is difficult to write, they need to be experienced individually.
