Just back since Sunday after 7 nights on ship - boarded in Barcelona 3rd Nov - cannot praise ship - staff - food and - organisation skills - fantastic. It was my 60 th birthday pressie and have to say it was SPECIAL. Hopefully will see you all again next year

Orbetello is a cute coastal town, backed by hills and fronted by the lagoon with the sea beyond. The village is completely pedestrianized, making it a safe and charming place to wander through the narrow streets while soaking in the atmosphere and sun. There is a peppy piazza with ocher buildings decorated with awnings and vine-festooned doorways. Attractive tables are sprinkled around for outdoor dining. The main corso is lined with interesting shops. There is a plethora of restaurants and caffes. Once in Civitavecchia do not miss this unique area of Italy. Furthermore, if you like visiting eco-system area, this is the place that worth seeing.

If you have been to Rome before & have seen all the sights, this should be your next ‘excursion’. We had a private driver take us to Tivoli where we met our private guide...a Roman history schoolteacher who was filling in for a friend. She was sooo knowledgeable! It was HOT, but there was water along the way. The history of Hadrian (Adrian to the Italians) was mind-boggling!! Amazing how they could build what they did in only 20 years! The second part of the tour was nearby & much more lush & beautiful (see pics). Lunch was on our own. Tour guide had a few recommendations. Loved the one we chose (see my review). I liked that we had time for a leisurely lunch nearby before we met our driver for the trip back to our hotel.

6. E-Bike Maremma Tour-also for small groups
The meeting point is in Porto Santo Stefano (GR). The tme to form the group, prepare the bicycles, and we will be ready to go! Our itinerary will starts with the panoramic ring of Porto Santo Stefano and then continue along the cycle path towards the Feniglia Nature Reserve. Here we will immerse ourselves in the pine forest of domestic pine, of landscape and naturalistic interest. We will stop for lunch and whoever wants can go to the beach before leaving. Then we will see the lagoon of Orbetello, a wonderful WWF oasis that hosts many water birds including pink flamingos. The next stop will be the characteristic village of Orbetello, which develops on an islet connected to the mainland by an artificial dam. The ring route will bring us back to the starting point after 38 km. The excursion lasts the whole day and is suitable for everyone. E-bikes are pedal-assisted bikes that lighten the effort thanks to an electric motor

Tour guide was very friendly and informative. Driver was friendly and stopped at several locations so we could see and experience all there was in Rome. We were driven in a spacious very clean mini van and we were made very comfortable. Both spoke excellent English. Would not have had such an excellent experience without these two people. They took good care of us and were always looking out for us but at the same time, they made us feel like family. Driver took us to a restaurant that was very authentic and served us wine and everything on the menu! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Rome including families.
