Established in the Himalaya foothills by a British Army officer in 1820, the "Queen of the Hills" stands above the rest with its deep woods, favorable climate and Doon Valley views. Its name is derived from the berry-covered Mansur shrub found in abundance around this trekker-friendly area. Vestiges of its colonial past are still reflected in the cuisine and architecture. For stunning natural sights, head to Gun Hill or Childer's Lodge, the two highest peaks, or the famous Kempty waterfall.

We had a fabulous experience with Rohit. The hike itself was very beautiful, challenging at times, but the view on top was worth every minute. Rohit was the best guide I could ask for! We were in a group of 5 with all different fitness levels and he took care of all of us very well. He was a delightful companion through the trip and had so many great stories and information to share.

Pepper Pot is an interesting place, apart from being famous in the local community for it's folk stories of witches and fairies The Tibri-kaflani trail that leads to Pepper pot, back in the day during the British times, was a famous short hiking trail. Pepper Pot Peak is said to be infact a Famous Picnic spot for many a families who lived in Mussoorie and landour in that time and era. The Pepper Pot Mountain offers great Himalayan Views. It is part of the "seven summits around Mussoorie". The name of this 2,000 meter (6,500ft) hill originated somewhere in the middle of 19th Century, when British visitors to Mussoorie noticed that the shape of this peak reminded them of a pepper pot. - This 3-4 hour trek offers a clear view of the Aglar Valley and Nag Tibba Range, as well as the snow peaks beyond. NOTE: Minimum guest required for us to conduct this trek is 2(two). - The trail has dense bushes & trees in certain areas, is narrow & uphill at places. Contact: 8171-708654

Situated approx 12 Kms from Mussoorie & at 7500 feet the temple offers splendid 360 degree views and snow clad Himalayan peaks on a clear sky day. I along with a colleague went up to Clouds End and saw this white marble structure perched at top of the hill in front. We could also see a well laid path going from Dudhli village up to the temple. We were on the bike and covered the entire path throttling the 1st & 2nd gear. The path was steep and last 800 mts approx is loose scree and stones. Undoubtedly I can imagine the thrill of a trek if we would have taken as we found many people going to the temple walking. The temple is dedicated to Lord Balram who stayed at this very place after the Mahabharat war. The devotees offer milk & butter along with prayers and seek blessings. As we undertook this journey randomly we didn't have any offerings nor there were any shops, so we just offered our prayers and felt thankful to the lord for this wonderful visit. The views from this place is awesome and we passed good 30 mins soaking in the surroundings. An annual fair is also conducted here every year in August from 15th to 17th where locals in large number & tourists throng this place. In all it's a wonderful MUST VISIT place to visit and a good trek to undertake. Next time we will trek this path for a more rewarding & thrilling experience.

With just 8 kms driving distance from Mussooorie and a short two km hike will bring you to the majestic Jharipani falls. The passes through a beautiful forest and is a pleasure down the pristine forest leads you to the falls. We stop and bath at the falls and also have a small picnic of our very own popular Maggi and fries of course Tea/soft drinks. Exploring the area is something we recommend and after the refreshing bath, a nice siesta is always welcome. It’s an easy and doable walk for all age groups
