The early bird gets the worm and our Morning Cruise is a great way to begin your day at Lake Argyle! Established in 1973 and still an essential trip for many who visit the region, the Morning Cruise explores the rugged northern end of Lake Argyle while navigating through some of the lake’s 90 islands and inlets. During your cruise you’ll enjoy informative commentary on the natural history and development of Lake Argyle, The Ord River Irrigation System and The Aquaculture Industry. You’ll encounter Rock Wallabies, Crocodiles, Wallaroos (Euros) and the diverse array of birdlife that call Lake Argyle home. You’ll be delighted and awed by the Archer Fish that shoot water up at your hand with amazing precision and you’ll watch a Catfish feeding frenzy (also known by the fancier term of ‘Silver Cobbler’) There’s no better way to experience the breathtaking landscape of the Carr Boyd Ranges and the inaccessible North Western shoreline than on our morning cruise!

In April I completed my first multi day hike along the great ocean walk end to end. The guides Robyn and Stacey made this adventure memorable. Food was exceptional for every meal. They were knowledgeable on the walk giving us the local indigenous stories and the early settlers. Stacey was a legend in spotting wildlife and telling us about them. Robyn cooked some fabulous meals to keep us fuelled for the walk. All very well organised the whole trip. A fabulous experience that has prompted me to try out other walks. Thanks team.

Good things come to those who bait. If you’re angling to catch a fish during your time at Lake Argyle, join us for a fishing expedition! We guarantee that you’ll catch a fish of some sort and, if not, we’ll give you a 50% refund. Lake Argyle abounds with a huge variety and number of fish. The largest is the massive “Silver Cobbler” which can weigh up to 40kg. We target these huge beasts as well as the feisty “Sooty Grunter” and anything else which might come along. Barramundi are increasing in numbers, but are still few and far between.

What an excellent tour. Flight from Kununurra to land on an unsealed airstrip. We were only a group of 3 so we got to go in cruiser as opposed to bus, really good. Excellent guide Dayn? Walk in the morning excellent with lots of interesting facts and features that I would never found on my own. Lovely lunch and the off for second walk. Rough underground but the chasm is amazing. If you can stick the heat and the rough ground -do it!

Echidna Chasm is a must do and Cathedral Gorge was spectacular. Pete our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the service was second to none. We flew in and stayed at Savana Lodge and the staff were very welcoming picking us up from the airstrip The dinner around the camp fire was delicious and this is one of the hidden gems in the Kimberly. Highly recommend doing it.
