Thoroughly enjoyed our 4-hr rafting trip down the Clearwater River. Both the tour coordinator, Tanya, and the rafting guide, Carlos, were helpful and engaging. Safety instruction briefing was thorough, and there was a kayaker on the river with us just in case. Carlos leads rafting tours in Clearwater, BC in the summer, and in Patagonia, Chile in the winter, and his experience shows. Hiking stop at the Candlestick Falls on Candle Creek was an awesome optional extra; we were able to walk behind the falls, and swim in the pool at the bottom. There was also a cliff jumping opportunity along the river. Water levels were relatively low, so the rafting was not super intense, but it was enough to be exciting and fun. It was an awesome experience overall, and we got a collection of great digital pictures for $25.

The tour guides were entertaining and the quiz questions fun. A great way to learn about our country! Can’t wait for the next Tripvia trip!

The BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops came to life in 1965 and continues to evolve as a Wildlife Park that showcases the Wildlife of British Columbia and is one of the few Wildlife Rehabilitation Centres in British Columbia. The BC Wildlife Park has 209 animals, including the only Kermode Bear in human care in the world. The BC Wildlife Park’s animals have found their way to us because they were either orphaned, born in another CAZA accredited facility or were brought to our Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre and their injuries have prevented them from being released back into the wild. The BC Wildlife Park offers many engaging activities that we encourage everyone to enjoy, including feed talks, Bird of Prey shows, a splash park and playground, and the Wildlife Express train. Each visitor to the Park helps our non profit society support the rescue and rehabilitation of British Columbia's animals.
Inclusions: Complimentary parking
Exclusions: Drinks, Food and drinks
First off: For all those other commentorreviewers who simply looked at the BC Wildlife Park as 'just a Zoo', your expectations are out to lunch. Folks comparing it to all the zoos they've been to with animals from Africa etc, have the wrong expectations ad are missing the point of the park and what it does. The BC Wildlife Park does so much for wildlife education, education for school kids, conservation of species such as the Burrowing Owl, Rehabilitation of native animals brought in injured, releasing saved wildlife back into the wild, and an opportunity for folks to safely see many of the BC wild animals we often spook in the woods or never get to see. This park does amazing things in educating the public about our native species and in aiding injured wildlife; for these reasons the staff of the wildlife park are heroes who are certainly underpaid and the wildlife park is under funded. For all those folks complaining about this quote unquote, 'zoo', do something to fix it and donate to the valuable programs, be part of the solution, not the problem. Discrediting this park online with your wrong comparison to a standard zoo simply makes it harder for this park to gain visitors (whereby visitation fees go to improve the facilities). And the reason the enclosures are large is for optimal animal welfare and not to hinder your viewing of the animals as one commenter mentioned. This also provides the animals with stress relief. Awesome park, virtuous intentions, and the first place that comes to mind when I hear of an animal injured on the highway! I'll keep going year after year.

What a great trip! Took us longer than 4 hours as we stopped so many times to check out the sites and wonderful viewing spots. We loved hearing the tour guides and quiz questions, they were a bit corny but definitely entertaining and fun….even for my 10 year old son. We would recommend Tripvia for sure!

We had an overnight stay in Kamloops and thought of spending sometime at the Riverside Park. A great park in front of the water with lots of trees, splash park, grass fields, walking trail and a beach. An excellent place to relax. Loved watching the sunset at the pier – gorgeous views.
