For a trip in 2/19 Spent a great afternoon with Kai, who not only showed us some off-the-beaten-track gems but provided great tips to find vegetarian food so we could feel more comfortable exploring and trying things on our Thailand vacation. Loved being able to see a variety of places and the tour was well-paced for a hot chiang mai afternoon but participants should still prepare for a bit of walking. Curious carnivores would also enjoy this tour. Lastly I would recommend that vegetarian/vegans in schedule this tour early in yr trip bc you can put Kai's tips to best use

Thailand's highest mountain, Doi Inthanon, 2565 m. above sea level. This National Park is unique mountain in the country and it's Thailand's only sphagnum mose. 05.00 am. pick up from your hotel drive around 2 hours to the top of Doi Inthanon National Park.We allowing bird watchers to spend time on the trails to look for the many ornithological treats that await. Birds seem to be in greater densities here than other locations, meaning this is an ideal place to see a large number of species in a short space of time and one of the most memorable locations for bird watching in Thailand. Birds expecting to see around, Green Tail Sunbied, Chestnut-crowned Laughingthrush, Dark-backed-sibia, Grey-cheeked-fulvetta, Lesser-shortwing, Pygmy-wren-babbler, Silver-earedlaughingthrush, Small-niltava, White-browed Shortwing, Yellow-cheeked-tit and many more. We had an absolutely wonderful time on the all-day "Doi Suthep & Inthanon National Park Day Tour". Our guide, Maggie, could not have been nicer. She was genuinely excited to share her knowledge and love of Thai culture, history, and religion as we visited the beautiful temples and nature sites on the tour. And she's a great photographer to boot--she knew exactly where to set up the best Instagram-ready shots, if that's your bag. The van was quiet, comfortable and air-conditioned and our driver Ut navigated the sometimes windy roads without raising my pulse rate. The tour included a hearty, delicious Thai lunch in a lovely local restaurant at the foot of the Inthanon hills. Even though I had to catch the overnight train to Bangkok right at the time the tour was due to end, Maggie made sure that we were able to see everything without ever making us feel rushed. We had plenty of time for relaxing, souvenir hunting, and sipping delicious northern Thai coffee. We're already planning a return visit to go on one of her hiking tours!

The ease of payment was convenient as well. There was a small mixup but it was handled professionally and with satisfaction. I will definitely be using them in the future.

This private tour was excellent! We got a thorough history of the locality. The walking was pleasant and not difficult. There were a couple tricky spots and stairs that may be difficult for some travelers, but there are railings and our guide was ready to assist at any moment. Would definitely recommend. It was worth the extra for a private tour because we could choose how much time we spent at each location without worry. (We actually went in January 2020 but I forgot to leave a review)

This was the worst tour of all our tours in Thailand. The word "BESTSELLER!!" is a marketing gimmick used by Local Tours Centre. The guide, Mr. Why (sp.?), was very hard to understand. He had a heavy accent and he unnecessarily wore a protective mask all while he was talking to his customers and that made him very hard to understand. The tour was rushed from start to finish. My wife wanted to walk up the stairs to the temple, while Mr. Why advised against it. The rest of the tour took the tram, including myself (knee was hurting). At the top, Mr. Why made no effort to reconnect with my wife. I had to leave the tour group to find her because the stairs and the tram enter the temple in different areas. We basically self-toured the temple, which was very nice, but Mr. Why descended to the parking area to wait for his group to finish. There was little or no tour guide information provided about the temple. The stop at the Hmong village was entirely a tourist trap and pretty much a waste of time. I would not recommend this tour. It was only $20 per person, which is very cheap, and I can only conclude that you get what you pay for.
