A friend recommended this tour to us, & I will now be recommending it to all who travel to FNQ as a must-do. We went out with our boys aged 4 & 8 and although some parts were really out of their usual comfort zone, Juan was so engaging and quietly chugged them along. We had an incredible day & Juan has gifted us with stories we will share for the rest of our life.

Our guide Juan was terrific. Knowledgeable and engaging, he answered many questions enthusiastically and gave us great insight into his mob from this region. Great information about First Nation’s care and use of country, traditions and history of the area. Spotted a large crocodile in the surf (from well up the beach), saw a large cassowary on one of the walks and had a great lunch at Cape Trib. Practiced spear throwing and checked out the stunning ice creams at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. A great day. Thanks Juan. Peter and Jill

Start your day with a cruise on the mighty Daintree river.  This 2 hour cruise takes you on journey of discovery exploring the main river and its tributaries in search of iconic wildlife including crocodiles, birds and snakes.  The dawn cruise showcases the river at is most picturesque and serene as the boat travels along the smooth waters of the Daintree river.  The river meanders through tranquil farmland and into the bounds of the Daintree rainforest from its freshwater origins into the saline tributaries to explore the mangroves and surrounds. Cruises are limited to a maximum of just 10 passengers and are customised to the interests of the passengers. The boat used is a unique 'hybrid' vessel utilising both a regular outboard and a commercial-quality electric motor which enables less disturbance of wildlife and better wildlife viewing. Cruises depart from the Daintree Village boat ramp.

I have previously enjoyed the early morning cruise and this time took the evening one. Just as enjoyable with beautiful sunsets to top off a great cruise during which we saw lots of great birds, reptiles and plants. Murray was polite, helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about the wonders of the river. We had fantastic views of The Great billed Heron and Papuan frogmouth as well as many others, The tick lists which we could take helped us recall all that we had seen. Highly recommend either or better still both of his tours. You'll see birds that are otherwise impossible for even experienced birders to find.

Strongly recommend booking through this group. The entire team were very friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and always happy to help out. The day out was suitable to anyone and everyone! I would highly recommend doing the introductory dive too. Was my first dive and just incredible and felt at ease the entire time with the instructor . Phil, Phil Jnr, Eddie and the rest of the crew, take a bow. Your customer service and experience provided was exceptional and should be highly commended. When I come back this is the only crew I’ll book again with. Thank you all so much for such an incredible day that my partner and I will cherish forever. Truly incredible. Cannot recommend enough! The perfect way to finish your Daintree Rainforest experience. Floating on the water, enjoying the late afternoon light, watching wildlife foraging before sunset, there are few better places to be than out on the Daintree River. Highly sought-after birds (kingfishers, herons, frogmouth, flycatchers) as well as crocodiles and snakes are seen on most cruises. Cruises cater for a maximum of just 10 passengers and are customised to the interests of the passengers. The boat used is a unique ‘hybrid’ vessel utilising both a regular outboard and an incredible electric motor to aid wildlife viewing. Late afternoon cruises give an opportunity to see the river in lovely light, sometimes with the setting sun colouring the sky, often with a multitude of egrets flying home to roost for the night.

Our driver Kim was entertaining and had lots of local knowledge. The river cruise was great where we saw a crocodile and some amazing species of birds. Really good coffee and house made scones for morning tea, then a fun 4WD through the rainforest to the waterfall. The fish and turtles come right up to the edge! Push yourself to get in the water too, it’s well worth it!
