This is the best place to see wildlife in the northern region of Costa Rica, but what makes this area so especial to observe wildlife? Caño Negro are protected wetlands not only by the government of Costa Rica there are non-governmental ORG´s like RAMSAR giving it a category as one of the most important wetlands in the world, that´s because this aquatic ecosystem is home of many endangered species such like the garfish, spider monkey, the tapir, the jaguar the Jabiru. Also it is one of the favorite wetlands for all aquatic migratory birds like ducks, egrets, herons and raptors. Caño Negro it´s 2hrs from La Fortuna once we get to town we make a short walk to get to the boat that will take us over the float land when we are able to point all diverse animals where monkeys, caimans, Jesus Christ lizards and many birds species are easy to watch, Caño Negro it´s fill or surprises. This is a great tour for nature lovers, birders or customers who want to avoid long or hard hikes

Very professional and friendly from beginning to end. We had the tour just for ourselves. The pick up was done without any delay. The guide was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival to Rio Celeste it started raining quite hard, but that did not stop us. It actually gave the whole tour a very nice and realistic feeling. The explanations were very accurate and the walk was extremely enjoyable. The lunch at the Soda was amazing, owner and her daughter were extremely friendly and super approachable, and the traditional rice with chicken was simply exquisite. The only but, to say any, is that the road to get there from La Fortuna can be a very bumpy at times, but that’s nobody’s fault. 10 out 10 points.

We really enjoyed our horseback riding experience at the foothills of the Arenal Volcano. Jarvin was our guide, and he was fantastic! 10 minutes into the ride and he spotted a sloth at the top of a tree. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, the biodiversity and the history behind the famous volcano. He was an excellent guide, very attentive and kind. The horses were calm. I can't think of a better way to get up close and take in that breathtaking view of that majestic volcano. Highly recommend this tour and Jarvin. Thoroughly enjoyable!

This was well worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable. We ended up seeing amazing birds, a basilisk, iguanas, a baby cayman, howler monkeys (including a rare orange one). Do wear sun protection and just in case a small snack, although they do provide a snack and lunch afterwards.
