Before choosing TeamBackpacker, we read a lot of blogs on climbing the Rinjani. Many were from the poor quality of some agencies. Wishing to ensure a perfect adventure, we decided to go with TeamBackpacker following the advice of a friends who had reassured us. Indeed, after a first contact via WhatsApp with the manager, we agreed on a price and performance. It will be for us the semi-deluxe version 2 days and 1 nights from Senaru. Everything went very smoothly: transportation Bangsal to Senaru, night hotel and two days trekking with our young guide Awan and our two brave carriers. We were impressed by the quality and quantity of food prepared by the team and by the impeccable condition of camping equipment. This was for us one of the best experiences of our trip to Indonesia. We recommend without hesitation to go through this agency, professional and very attentive.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. The entire tour was very well organized. I had the opportunity to visit the waterfalls the day before the Trek and then completed a 2 day, 1 night trek with the best guide and porter My guide, Eddie, was extremely patient and encouraging (I was beginner and needed to take a lot of breaks a long the way and also needed a lot of help as we climb up and down steep areas. Hanafi (the operations manager) and Yuse (his assistant) picked me up from the airport, at the base once I was done with the tour and dropped me off in my next location, and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Everything was very professionally organized and perfect. The tour was organize according to the COVID-19 protocols for Lombok island and safety was made a priority. I highly recommend Halomi Tour and Eddie as a trekking guide.

Did their 2D/1N Gili Kondo Island tour. Had a fantastic experience from start to end. The owner is nice and all guides/drivers we had were super friendly. Everything was provided for, with always more than enough food. We literally only would have needed to bring clothes for swimming and sunblock. Following is a detailed review of our trip (posted the same review on Google Maps). Pickup from our hotel in Senggigi at the pre-planned time in the morning after breakfast. Drive to the harbour on the northeast coast. Short boatride out to the beautiful and uninhabited Gili Kondo. While our cook, Wardi, prepared lunch we went to snorkel. Just 5 meters out from the beach were a lot of corals and colourful fish. Awesome! While we had lunch they set up our tent for us, and after we went snorkeling again. This time with our guide Alim. He showed us the best spots, and took some cool pictures for us. During the trip he suggested and took a lot of great photos. Thanks Alim! Later in the day we went with the boat out to an island that is only sand, and tiny during high-tide. From here we watched the sunset before heading back to Gili Kondo for dinner. After dinner Alim went out in the dark with his harpoon and flashlight to catch some fish. We watched him from our campfire in the dark. Afterwards we got a taste of the freshly caught and fried fish. During the day there were a few boats coming by bringing people for snorkeling, but for the night it was only us and another couple in a tent on the entire island (except guides and the local boatman). After a night of some sleep in the tent we woke up early before sunrise. We took the boat out while the sun was rising to the mangroves. Breakfast was prepared and served while we drove trough the cool mangroves shallow water. We stopped at a snorkeling spot in-between the islands to feed some bread to the fish. Great photo opportunity. Then we docked at another tiny uninhabited beautiful island/Gili and snorkeled for an hour. Returned to the harbour and drove back west to see the coolest waterfalls on Lombok. Sedang Gile and Tiu Kelep. Our cook/guide from the islands showed the way. Afterwards we had lunch at a restaurant with an amazing view in the Rinjani ridge. Pretty tired from all the cool experiences and adventures we fell asleep during our long trip to get dropped off in Kuta. Awesome to be able to get picked up and dropped off anywhere on Lombok, a perfect intermediary between cites/hotels. A really well put together trip with fantastic people to service us along the way. If we go back to Lombok for the Rinjani hike we will definitely book it with Rinjani Fun Trekking. And maybe even do this trip again. Thanks again Wardi and Alim. Terima kasih!

We went for 2 days / 1 night from Senaru. We chose the local company "Go Trekker" which organized all the transport along the route, hotel one night, guide, porter, camping equipments, foods and entrance fee. Our guide did a outstanding job ! We was really kind and he tried his best to make our excursion unforgettable. The food was very delicious and generous. Porters are also amazing! carry a load of 20-30 kg. The track is not very difficult, but interesting for short adventure.

I sleep a night at the local village with the family and owner of Star Rinjani where the trek starts. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to do the full trek, but I had an amazing night with the family. I got good local dinner and breakfast and a long nice chat about life in the village. I have not seen such a hospitality for a long time. All the beat wishes from here!

The two-day trek to the crater rim of the Rinjani can be described as a wonderful adventure. Beautiful nature, extreme views and that with an excellent organization. We did this trip with an untrained group of 7 friends. The climb was quite tough, but the descent is not to be underestimated. (I couldn't go up or down stairs the next day) But the view of the crater rim is unbelievably beautiful. A few tips? - During the day it was a pleasant 20 ° C, but at night at the top it cooled to 4 ° C, so warm clothes are not a luxury. - We did a day off to recover the next day. - Don't get too close to the monkeys. - Good luck!

These guys are top notch. They picked us up from our cruise ship and took my family of 6 on a private tour. Bottled water and aircon van. 12 seater. First stop they got me a great rate in currency exchange with no commission. Then took us to Gili islands via private boat. All gear provided. Our guide was amazing. Spoke great English and even swam with our 8 year old to show him the submerged statues. Finally hE then found us a great place on the beach around Sengigi beach for lunch. I will be back for sure.
