My husband and I booked the 4-NIGHT, 100% PRIVATE AURORA ESCAPE which included four Aurora Nights, dog sledding, snow-machining, wild-life tour and many other great things! Our guide was Chad, the owner of Lights-over-Lapland and from the moment we first contacted Lights-over-Lapland we have been extremely well taken care of in terms of our specific requests, expectations, and travel arrangements due to the pandemic. We have been fortunate to have travelled a lot in the past, but this was one of our best holiday trips ever. Chad took such great and personal care of us, it felt like family. He is a very experienced guide. He knows every corner of Abisko and the surroundings and took us to amazing places. The nature and the sceneries of the area were simply breath-taking, and we could not have hoped for a better experience. Out of the four nights we saw amazing aurora displays on two nights which were stunning. The private escape included staying in a lovely and well-equipped and maintained house in Abisko with all the amenities, incl. sauna. We even had our chef who came to the house to cook for us on four of the five nights. The cooking was out of this world and a great local, culinary experience! A big thanks again to Rob for providing such great meals! It was by far one of our best experiences ever and we are eternally thankful to have experienced it. On a scale from 1-10 this was a 12 and we would recommend Lights over Lapland to anyone without hesitation! Thanks again to Chad and his team for providing such an amazing experience and for making this a perfect trip to celebrate our anniversary. We are looking forward to meeting you again! Cheers from Switzerland: Raphael & Jennifer

We took the photography tour with Dimitry. Didn't see aurora this time, but received a nice photography lesson how to shoot auroras. In addition there was plenty of communication between the guide and other guides or hotel (not sure) to pick the likely spot. I would recommend it.

That tour was the best activity Ive choosed to book in Abisko. The friendly team took care of us in every second of this tour. We started with an Incredible and a Delicious diner coocked right in front of us by Christina' in a warm place where we could hear some interesting stories telled by Onur , and where we could have more informations about this phenomenon. Right after we started chasing the right spot to observe the lights. For that night we checked some spots then we went to BJORKLIDEN on the ice lake , and it was almost -17° but we had a warm local Tea and a fire some meters away from the cameras. All we had to do was being there to enjoy the moment... Ah , important, also to pose for many pictures (HQ) from Christina. We could take pictures as many as we wanted to, and we liked it so much. Thank you guys for the fabulous moment!

Then we went from Abisko to bjokliden by the ice lake that was really very nice , but then we went upper till the highest refuge In Sweden , that day was a bit windy which made the drive a bit more funny to .We had memorable moments.. Time to have a culinary stop at the refuge ! WAFFLES AND HOT CHOCOLATE, best idea ever to have a little stop to eat and rest a bit in a warm place. Finally on our way back we made some stops to make a drones clip and pictures, we took the lake again and we had some fun with the snow mobile until the last meters.. The guides (Dimitri and Onur) were TOP on all points , and very friendly , They made it MEMORABLE.

I went to this tour on 2 trips and each one was great. Enjoyed watching Northern lights, shared very helpful skills on capturing lights in DSLR cameras as well as phones. They made sure the tours were organized at great forecast timings and changed locations depending on better forecasts location and clear skys. Provided warm waterproof jackets and boots suitable for walking in snow. Tours were arranged excellently keeping social distancing. They also organized a bonfire with local Swedish lingonberry tea helping us keep warm in cold weather during the tour. Our guide was friendly, great company, happy to chat and share his knowledge of area and northern lights. Highly recommend, if you like the personal touch and unforgettable experience of magical aurora. ❤️
