You arrive at the carpark above the beach and you will see a sign indicating to go towards Fossil Bluff or to the lookout. If you follow the lookout direction ... very soon into the walk you go up some steps. The steps are reasonably easy to manoeuvre although if you have difficulties with mobility... they will not be. The steps are surrounded by trees, at the top of the steps you step out of the trees onto a path... this is where it gets really steep. However, that doesn't last too long... once you get past the bit that makes you puff and pant... it slowly continues to go up. In the distance you will see a solitary seat... that is where you are heading to. Once you reach that point the views are magnificent. On one side the sea shimmered under a blue sky and as I turned around there were storm clouds over the land and the sky was black. It is humbling to stand somewhere like that and have opposing weather fronts on either side of you. The views truly are stunning...so if you are able to, I recommend making this small climb to the top because it truly is breathtaking.

The Table Cape Lighthouse is set on a sheer cliff edge surrounded by scenic farmlands and Tulip Farms. Construction began and the tower and cottages were completed and in service in 1888. The views from nearly 180m above the sea are amazing.
Lighthouse guide Phil was fantastic, so friendly & welcoming. What an amazing view, so worth going to the top. Really interesting tour thank you ????

Amazing place in the back of the information centre there is the best collection of old cars in Australia including one if inky 2 Model A Ford cars. I am not a car enthusiast but to see how these cars evolved and the luxury of some of them is amazing. The owner has spent so many years restoring these beautiful cars it is amazing and well worth a visit. The fact they can and are still driven is amazing. Go and enjoy also see the old bicycles including a penny farthing and old motor bike There’s an interesting exhibition of local goods for sale as well in the information centre Free parking available Enjoy your visit

After treating yourself to lunch at Wynyard Seafoods on the Wharf, take a stroll through Gutteridge Gardens on the banks of the Inglis River. Although not very large, it is a calm and serene spot where you can appreciate the beauty of the river or just sit beneath the trees. Overlooking the gardens and river is the Wynyard War Memorial; a fitting spot to pay tribute to those from the local community who served their nation. A suggestion - to round off the day take a short drive through the idyllic rolling dairy pastures to Yolla (about 20 kms away) returning to the coast road via Elliott to Somerset.

We visited the tulip fields and it’s just breathtaking. So many tulips blooming, such a wonderful explosion of colours, makes you feel like you are in heaven. If you visit Wynyard you can’t miss it, just bring your Wellies and clothes that can get muddy. Its dog-friendly so bring your pooch (on a leash). It’s worth the visit and you can buy tulips and tulip bulbs of your favourite ones in the gift shop.
