An award winning brewery set in the heart of the beautiful Ayot estate. With a working brewery in the back and cosy tap room out front we have something for everyone. Open every Saturday (11-5pm) and with BBQs and mini beer festivals across the Spring/Summer months. So if you're out with the dog, bikes, kids or horses... pop in for a beer or just drive over and restock the cupboards.
Beer is delicious and staff delightful. What a great place for a few pints and then walk away with a 5 pint polypin for the weekend. Highly recommend

Visited the reading rooms recently after their reopening and I’m so glad I did! Such a cozy, friendly and welcoming environment with the lovely April behind the bar serving up delicious pints of farr brew. An absolute gem. Will be recommending to all of my friends! 5 stars!

Lovely place to sit and enjoy the river whilst waiting for the busy local fish and chip shop to prepare my order. I was even blessed to see a Heron standing on one leg in the river! A very rare sight usually but one seemingly more common during lockdown. Managed to get some pictures this time.

This is a beautiful community garden. Well worth a visit in it's own right or part of the Wheathampstead Heritage Trail. It has a Boules Court that is available to the public to use.

I was very pleased to discover a free car park next to the River Lea virtually in the centre of the village. It is signposted just off the High Street. I discovered a couple of maps at the old railway station which I would definitely recommend a visit to. There are trails around the village itself as well as trails a little further out of the village into the countryside and surrounding areas. There are lots of different building to discover within the village and I particularly enjoyed the Crinkle Crankle Walls and community garden. It's a very picturesque village and well worth a visit.
