A beautiful pristine area shared by 3 countries. These lakes are shared by Albania, FYROM and Greece. A totally different kind of vacation to come in touch of nature as it truly is as well as the people who live there!

We read about this attraction and made it a high point of our visit in the historic part of Kastoria. The cave was an experience as speleologists have made it safe and accessible to the public. Inside the lighting enriches the experience of the incredible cascading stalactites and stalagmites with small ponds bringing color in the calcium palace. A guiding audio system guides and highlights in some parts of the cave. Only drawback was that quests have limited time as our exhalations and CO2 destroys the interior. So take some flashless photos fast

The Brown Bears' Sanctuary is an enclosed area where rescued bears will spend the rest of their lives, one kilometer of the south part of the village Nymfaion, with elevation 1350 meters. The area is around 12 acres long, inside a natural forest of beech, that comprises a typical habitats for the bears.
It was the first time that we saw brown bears free into the woods. The staff of Arktouros works there as volunteer. They are really informed about bears so we have the chance to broaden our knowledge. They take care of bears and when bears are ready enough they are left in their natural habitat. It is impressive how they protect and love these animals.
