B & B Waynesville Patriot 12 & GS

Went to a Saturday matinee showing; bought our tickets at the kiosk and wandered in to find our auditorium. We got seated at 2:20pm for a show that was supposed to start at 2:25pm. We were a little concerned because the screen was blank; we were expecting the coming attractions to be showing already.

At 2:35pm there was no change. Blank screen. I went to the concession stand and asked if the 2:25pm movie was going to be shown. The cashier started to ring up a new ticket for me and asked me for another payment. I said I had a ticket, but wanted the movie to start. She cancelled the transaction and said "oh, they're working on it." I went back to the auditorium to wait.

At 2:45pm we still had a blank screen and another patron got up and headed to the lobby in search of the movie. Eventually two staff came into the auditorium and managed to get the movie playing. One of them offered "I'm sorry" on her way in and out of the auditorium.

The only positive part was they gave us the option of skipping the previews and going right into the movie.

Great facility - clean and comfortable. Certainly the best infrastructure for movie-going in south-central Missouri. Staffing and operating the facility? Not so good.

Who doesn't love a trip down memory lane! Well, when you walk into this store it takes you back to "dime stores and penny candy". Of course, it's not a penny anymore LOL, but to relive some wonderful childhood memories it's worth paying more! I...MoreI'm so glad you came by and found a nostalgic treat that tickled your fancy. Also, thank you for taking the time to write such a delightful review. Please pop in again & say "Hi!" - Charley Joe, Route 66 Candy Shoppe

If you have not been to Waynesville yet, you will quickly discover once you are there that there are not much to do. The two something mile walk from the park around the creek and spring is beautiful and you will encounter some people fishing. They call this the trail of tears due to all the Native Indians who gave their lives. If in Waynesville, I truly recommend to take this stroll! Just make sure to bring your bug spray!

My son and daughter-in-law recently moved to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I was on the lookout for a nice park to take my granddaughter, and found this lovely park! There was a nice group of Mom's and Grandmom's visiting, and I got some additional tips on where to visit for fun things to do. Lovely playground! There is a covered picnic area if you want to bring a lunch/dinner, as well!

My 4th grade class and I truly loved this field trip! Jan and Terry were very accommodating, thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. We truly learned a lot about where we live and how Waynesville became what it is today.
Also, the Old Stage Coach Stop is a short walk from the Waynesville park. It was very easy to picnic and play at the park then walk over to our destination!
A truly wonderful experience that we will definitely be doing again next year!

Historic Talbot House

Reviewed By Mike S - Hannibal, Missouri

Was given a tour of the house built in 1885. There will be 12 rooms to explore and your host is totally awesome. He is a 80 year old man with a heart of a 10 year old.
He has hundreds of clocks in the house and other artifacts. He also has what was called a "drum" piano. He used a hand crank to play the piano. He let us walk through the whole house and I only made it to 3 rooms in about 20 minutes while there. He is amazing with his history of everything he has in his house and loves to play the piano.
He is a very interested and energetic personality person.
What he has.....you will want to see.

Frog Rock

Reviewed By DustinHolmes

Located on Route 66 someone saw this big rock sticking out and decided it looked like a frog so they painted it. It's become a tourist attraction now and repainted every few years to keep the colors bright. Due to a bend in the road it is much easier to notice heading West than it is when you are heading East.

This is a nice small community theater. You can tell that the work in the theater has been done by caring volunteer hands. The productions depending on director are alright. There is a small concession stand for simple snacks that is not overpriced.
