Very nice for an outdoor day sipping good wine, or whatever else you fancy, withe friends. Best if you bring your own chairs and/or plaid, find a spot on the huge loan. Food available, but you can also go with your pickNick basket. In season l, you can also enjoy picking apples.

Large acreage of land with an abundance of apple trees everywhere. You can pick apples to heart's delight and pay $28.95 for half a bushel (full plastic bag provided) of apples. After you are done picking apples, you can head down to the farm house, which provides a venue for eating, restrooms, entertainment, animal rides, pumpkin purchase and good old family fun before you exit Maskers Farm. Fun place indeed!

Farm Winery with tasting room making the finest Ciders in the Hudson Valley!
Fo many wine connoisseurs who enjoy the off the beaten path wines would enjoy this winery. The representative of the business Michelle was extremely helpful during a somewhat busy time. The wine was not the highlight of this brewery, their cider were unique and delicious. They are expanding to meade so this is a place worth a return visit.

For each season, there is something to pick. First of all there is the glorious ride up the hill and the great views. Secondly, there are freshly picked or you pick raspberries and strawberries every morning. There is a wonderful barn store. Great apples and cider in Fall. Christmas trees in December.Always a good time.

We didn't know what to expect but Pacem exceeded our expectations. The sculptures are very interesting and the grounds are a pleasure to stroll through. The large stone and wood main building is fascinating. We were the only ones there for most of the time which made it feel like our own private place. We went across the railroad tracks to see many more sculptures which were excellent as well. While the entire place is not that large, There are so many parts to explore which made it so enjoyable and peaceful. The babbling brook was lovely. Overall, a unique and unusual place. Not sure why some negative reviews in the past - they seem way off base. True, parking can be confusing We spent about an hour and a half here. No charge but we made a small donation. There is a short video about the founder which we did not watch. There is a small restroom available which was very clean. Worthwhile planning a visit here.

Clearview Vineyard has a vineyard, winery and new wine tasting facility. Open on weekends from April to mid-December from 12 pm to 5 pm with live music from 2 pm to 5 pm, with several foods available. Wine tasting is $6 and includes a free 11 ounce logo wine glass and 6 wine samples. 12 dry wines are produced here, 8 made with our grapes. Wine sales open all year by appointment.
This was our 1st time back here, since renovations were done. We pulled up, parking lot quite full, finally had spot after another car pulled out.
Entered into the building, it was crowed, looked around waited for someone to say something, nothing. We wanted to get wine and sit outside, no tables available, only inside. We still want to taste the wines, no one acknowledged us...
We came looking over to the wine pouring/tasting area to the right...a man looked at us a few times, but, no comment.
Service was just awful and disappointing. Anytime we have walked into an establishment, Some one greets you in some manner. This tall man behind the bar, cared less. Just say, hi, Some one will be with you shortly...
We ended up waiting to long.
The inside , well they did a nice job, but not sure we will return again.

Scenic recreation area, nicknamed The Friendly One, is one of the oldest ski areas in New York State.
I had a very unpleasant encounter with the staff at Mount Peter today. I signed my son up for multi-week group lessons over the phone and when he arrived at his first lesson yesterday I was asked to sign a release which included the right to use my son's name and image at Mount Peter's sole discretion, which I struck out of the contract. I was asked by the staff member doing sign-ins to initial next to my revision and my son was allowed to attend his first lesson. Today I received a call from Mount Peter saying that if I don't come in and sign a new release including the right to use my sons image he would no longer be allowed to attend lessons. I explained why I would not accept that they have the indefinite right to my son's image and I was met with many excuses as to why this paragraph in the contract didn't matter and I should just sign. I of course stood my ground and was unpleasantly surprised by their customer service manager's reaction. Renee, the customer service manager, started to become rude and was raising her voice. I told her to stop speaking to me that way and that as a customer I was very disappointed with the way I was being treated. This seemed to only set Renee off further, which lead to me being hung up on. Thankfully before I was hung up on I was able to make it clear I expected a refund, which they agreed to but unfortunately it hadn't been done before the abrupt ending to our conversation. I then had to call back for my refund and of course it was Renee that answered the phone. At this point she was so annoyed that she would not even speak with me and passed me to another staff member. I gave this exact complaint to the new staff member and was basically told that it was my fault for this reaction and she tried to justify Renee's attitude and me being hung up on. I told the new staff member I would be writing this review which she then started to change her tone a bit but I never got an apology for this unprofessional behavior. While I can understand Mount Peter has a release they require I can't understand their rudeness and why this wasn't enforced on the first evening.
I would like to add that I have never written a review before so that must show how unhappy I am with the interaction I had with Mount Peter's customer service.

Jumped on this Groupon like many others. I purchased them in late September, but ended up using it this past weekend. I was skeptical at first seeing a few bad reviews. The ride from the Bronx was about 1 hours and 20 minutes northwest. You can take I-87 for a while but then you will be instructed to Route 17 and maybe some "side" (wooded areas/farmland) roads to get to the Orchards. We arrived at about 12PM on a Saturday, which I would imagine the busiest time to visit. Parking lot was full, but there were actually people, who were presumably there very early, so parking spaces closer to the Orchards were opening up. Upon entry, there is a small store to the right, which sold most farm-store tings like jams, apple cider donuts and honey. The store is small so that there is really one line going through the store which also serves as a line to cash out. I suggest leaving the strollers outside of the store, otherwise you will be bumping into everything. To the right is a little petting area with a few animals including rabbits and hens. Ahead was the hayride and pumpkin patch. We did not visit the apple orchards, but I believe that they were up ahead since we saw people walking in that direction. What I loved about this place, that really made me give it an entire 1.5 stars by itself was that there was a special table with three separate lines dedicated to the Groupon visitors. Upon presenting the Groupon, people were given everything noted on the Groupon, including a bag of donuts, jugs of apple ciders, animal feed, 4 tickets (a small color piece of paper with the number of allowable people on it) each to the hayride and pumpkin picking. The tickets to the hayride are collected when boarding. The hayride takes about 10 minutes and only circle around a short course. When you leave the orchards to enter the parking lot with pumpkins, you show the attendant your tickets showing the number of allowed pumpkins that you can take. The pumpkin selection was big. I think the Groupon deal and the Groupon organization they have upon entering the orchard really makes it worthwhile. For the family of four pack: 4 pumpkins, hayrides, apple ciders, donuts and animal feed, we paid about $35 with the Groupon deal after applying a coupon. I have read the bad reviews for the apple picking portion, which is why we used our Groupons here for pumpkin picking and went to another closeby (Apple Dave's) orchard for apple picking. We were in and out of Apple Ridge in about an hour and a half.

We go to the Strazza gallery whenever in the Warwick area. We've bought several pictures that are our favorite pieces in our house. Can't wait to see what the gallery has on our next trip.
