Top 10 Things to do in Villa Urquiza, Capital Federal District

September 9, 2021 Tonie Szymanski

The birthplace of the tango is, like the dance itself, captivating, seductive and bustling with excited energy. Atmospheric old neighborhoods are rife with romantic restaurants and thumping nightlife, and Buenos Aires' European heritage is evident in its architecture, boulevards and parks. Cafe Tortoni, the city's oldest bar, will transport you back to 1858, and the spectacular Teatro Colon impresses just as it did in 1908. Latin America's shopping capital offers the promise of premium retail therapy along its grand, wide boulevards.

This is my second review. I have been a student of Fabiana since my first trip to Argentina in 2017. In the beginning I could speak only a few basic phrases in Spanish and understood next to nothing. Now, thanks to Fabiana and her engaging method of teaching, I am able to understand and speak Spanish and a level that allows me to function and communicate. I hope to speak fluently one day and continue with weekly online lessons with Fabiana. I have visited Buenos Aires with my children and studied in person with Fabiana 3 times over the past 2 years. Studying in Buenos Aires with Fabiana is a fabulous experience. She is such a warm and caring person. She has shared amazing experiences with my family and introduced us to interesting people. I love the online lessons also. I look forward to my lesson every Friday. I had never taken any lessons online before studying with Fabiana and was a little nervous about how online lessons worked. Fabiana is an amazing teacher and the online lessons work really well. At first we did a lot of grammar exercises and writing and things to build my vocabulary and now that I can understand better we continue with grammar but so much more. The lessons are really interesting as I get to watch alot of Argentine films and documentaries and read Argentine novels and articles. I have learned so much about history and Argentine culture. I highly recommend studying with Fabiana. I am so glad I chose to study here. I just found Fabiana on google when I was looking for somewhere to study Spanish after deciding to visit Buenos Aires with my children for a month back in 2017 and now I feel so lucky that I chose to study with her because I have gained an amazing teacher and friend and have learned so much.
