Top 10 Things to do in Vesterbro - Kongens Enghave, Zealand

February 27, 2022 Jacquiline Delozier

Copenhagen was once a Viking fishing settlement, and you can still find traces of the Norse explorers here. Visit reconstructed villages, the remains of a 1,000-year-old castle, and museums dedicated to the notorious raiders. Copenhagen also features a blend of modern architecture and historical artifacts such as the Round Tower observatory – a wonderful example of 17th-century architecture. Art galleries, narrow streets, canals, parks, and Baroque churches round out the city’s cultural attractions.

Great venue, not too big, great staff and really enjoyed the gig. Plenty of room and lots of bars to grab a drink. It helped that the band had to play 2 shows so it wasn’t crowded. All the same I would highly recommend the venue as a super place to enjoy a good band.

Copenhagen Central Station

Reviewed By 428debiv

We took trains from Copenhagen to Husum Germany and back again over a two day period. As tourists with no prior experience, we were a bit nervous. But the ticket agents couldn't have been more helpful. I bought our tickets one night for early the next day, arrived in plenty of time, and then couldn't find the correct platform for our departure. We asked a couple people who couldn't help us (language barrier)! Frantic I went back to the ticket agency office. They were so kind, understood our confusion right away, printed us more detailed information, and we had no more problems from that point on.

Nimb Bar

We were looking for somewhere to do tea in Copenhagen and were thrilled to discover a place that was also inside the Tivoli Gardens! From inside the gardens, the Nimb Hotel truly looks magical at Christmas. We walked inside and found our way to the Nimb Bar, which is in a beautiful, large, and airy room. Our server was friendly and welcoming, and she took the time to explain everything to us. The food was great, and the tea itself was AMAZING! I recommend splitting your pots and trying different kinds throughout. The "Afternoon in Shanghai" blend was incredible. It was such a fun time, and I will absolutely return (and hopefully stay at the hotel!) my next time in Copenhagen.

The main museum wasn't open yet when we visited but there is a little archaeological workshop open on the weekends. We dropped in on our way to a boat tour & really enjoyed it - it's a relatively small space packed full of finds from the Copenhagen area. One of the city's archaeologists talked us through the history of the city and some of the objects - the expert insight was really interesting (we wished we'd asked a load more questions!). Well worth dropping in, particularly if you're interested in archaeology.
