The salt lake, includes a beautiful salt cover in the form of polygons, salt water puddles, salt mines in an area of 300km squared. The landscape is shiny and white, and a good place to make photos, while at night, you have the advantage of seeing milky way easily in the sky. Sometimes, the horizon gets pink in the time of sunset.

Zayanderud River passes different places, from Chadegan, ending to Gavkhuni Wetland. It is full of water always in Varzaneh town, the last town passing by, since the layers of water are upper. Renting a boat, spending some time in old bridge of Varzaneh on the river, and see the delta of that, before Gavkhuni wetland starts. Women with white chadors are stopping by, relaxing in afternoons there.

Ghoortan citadel is a 1000-years old citadel, 10 km outside of Varzaneh town. It is located next to Zayanderud river, with plenty of old houses, mosques, 14 watch towers, hemams, and animal coats. Still a live citadel, some families are living in southern corner of that. All mud-brick, and historically rich.

It is a vast humid area, basically a wetland, which is partially and discretely forested, which makes it like a swamp. Yet, being close to black volcanic mountain, makes the landscape beautiful, specially for those interested in wildlife. The 600 years old Jame Mosque of Varzaneh, is right in the middle of old town, and easy to walk. The mosque was formerly a fire temple, but in Tymorud dynasty was converted to mosque. Mosque is still in function, yet except three times of saying prayer of Shiite Muslims, everybody can visit during the day this mosque.
