We came here to ride the carousel. It’s a 1905 Dentzel, and it truly contains some of the greatest treasures of the carousel world. The kangaroo has a mechanism that makes it simulate jumping. Only 3 of them were made, and this is the only one still on a carousel. The two buffalo are the only Dentzel buffalo still in existence. The leopard would be very rare as well. The two donkeys are very rare as well. At least 3 of the animals, including a lion kept in a glass case, were made by E Joy Morris, and there are some Daniel Muller horses on the platform too. This carousel has been beautifully restored, and is very well kept. We found it to be very enjoyable.

Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary, operated by Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, consists of 1,700 acres of open water, tidal freshwater marshes, forested wetlands, upland and riparian forest, creeks, meadows, pine and sand barrens, and fields along the Patuxent River. Located in southern Anne Arundel County, 20 miles east of Washington, DC, and 18 miles south of Annapolis, the Sanctuary is a designated site on the Patuxent Water Trail. The Sanctuary is located in the tidal reaches of the Patuxent River, and its network of habitats, including its extensive tidal freshwater wetlands, provides a safe environment to a high diversity of plants, invertebrates, birds, fish, reptiles, and mammal species. The National Audubon Society has designated the Sanctuary as a Nationally Important Bird Area.
Jug Bay is a great place to get close to nature. The boardwalk makes it easy to get around and you can spend time in several different habitats. There are always birds to see and it's easy to take some nice pictures. The staff there are wonderful as well and they offer great workshops for photographers. They have a sunrise/sunset workshop that let's you get the shot you've always dreamed of and couldn't do otherwise. It's a great place at any time of year.

Private and semi-private sightseeing tours of Washington, DC and vicinity. Guaranteed small group sizes (6 passengers maximum). Semi-private tours depart from 11th and E Street NW, with reservations.
Eddie was our guid. So accommodating. Very knowledgable. Highly recommend. The Pentagon memorial is something I never would have gone to see but Eddie had fascinating details that most people will miss. He dropped us off at our hotel after. Was so convenient.

This winery is so lovely and the wines so interesting that I keep coming back, with different groups of people, and they love it as much as I do. Doug and Maureen, the owners, care about the wines they grow, the land they tend, and the guests they serve. It is a great experience to visit their winery, taste the wines, and enjoy the outdoor patio. I already look forward to my next visit.

Recently invited to play this unique and fun course and to pretend we were playing in the British Open or The Masters. The course is great with lots of variety. I'm not a very good golfer but I had a lot of fun today.
My only suggestion would be more frequent mowing inasmuch as I lost lots of balls just barely off the groomed fairways in grass that was too tall and frequently hid my golf ball. I also noticed that the greens were in rough shape for mid-May. In some cases my GPS-constrained golf cart would not allow me to go where my ball landed which was a minor issue.
Staff were very welcoming and were great upon dispatch and receipt at the beginning and ending of our day.
We found a great price using an app. We will certainly play here again!

Built in 1852 as a middle-class plantation home, historic Surratt House recaptures life during the mid-19th century and features the fascinating web of the Lincoln conspiracy.
This museum is awesome! Check out the main office and store first, then head on to the house for the tour. Our tour guide was very informative and answered all questions. The house is small but all of the stories by the tour guide made the tour awesome! I just wish I remember our tour guide's name. Oh well. Thanks again for the great tour, Miss Tour Guide!

Recently attended the Redskins vs Raiders game. I didn't expect much going into this game, but as it turns out, the Red Zone Lot is great for tailgating, live band, corn hole tournament, food truck(s), etc. It was a really pleasant surprise. It also opens 1 hr earlier than any other lot.
The stadium itself wasn't bad either. Prices were high as they are in every NFL stadium, but the food options were pretty good and offered a decent variety (pizza, burgers, jerk chicken, etc.).
All in all, I enjoyed my trip to the stadium and wouldn't hesitate to return there for another game.

Leslie (the owner of Vino 301 and tour operator) is an amazing and knowledgeable wine/tourism profession!
I brought a group of wine content creators (writers, content creators, social media personalities) out on a day of wine tasting c/o Wine Trail Adventures. Leslie shared great tips about the surrounding wineries and tips even I didn’t know! Despite the gloomy weather, Leslie was there with a smile and a goodie bag of wine glasses and bottles of water! Both smart and fun!
We visited Black Ankle and Hidden Hills Winery. One of the distinct advantages of taking a wine tour rather than going on your own is to have the testing set up tailored to your group. Because Leslie knew we were a group of knowledgeable wine lovers, she set up had an amazing and more advanced-like tasting from both wineries.
Thank you for the experience and the attention to detail to all the people at Vino 301! Happy to always tour with you guys!

Enjoy shopping at this inside market and rate it "4". Have a variety of quality fresh farm produce thats very tasteful and {most items} are reasonably price. Carries assorted cooked/baked/canned goods (meats, veggies, desserts, breads. candy, juices, and many other items). I just love their mini pretzel hotdogs--a delightful treat! Opens only Thu-Sat and can get very crowdy - so go early morning. Have found each vendor staff to be very gracious and helpful.

Great place to walk, sit, and take pictures. There are plenty of free parking. A little something for everyone. Nice sized soccer fields, baseball fields and 3/4 mile walking loop. There are basketball courts, skate park and huge play ground. You can fish in the summer or your can rent a area for a cookout. July 4th is always packed and they have a huge fireworks display.
