Best $25 we have spent in a long time; maybe ever! Captain Ron is genuine and funny. His passion for the lake and what he does are obvious. He is recovering from surgery and should be home resting but took us all out anyway. I didn’t expect to be impressed but I sure was. The lake and water forest are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Thank you Captain Ron for sharing your passion and thank you for your service! I highly recommend this tour!

I booked a solo boat tour to photograph mysterious Caddo Lake. Just beautiful! My guide has been taking nature lovers on the lake, since he was 12 years old. He can answer any question, tell stories and knows his lake and its inhabitants. I didn't want to leave this great location. Such a wonderful place to relax and get a full immersion into nature.

We had Roland four our 1.5 hour tour, which only cost $75 for the two of us. We were in a small boat that was swift and able to make it through the back areas that other boats cannot go. We even jumped logs in this little boat.
Our guide fell in love with the area as a teen and now lives 2 hours away, so that he can sometimes do tours for Go-Devil. We enjoyed hearing about the lake and searching for gators. Though we saw no gators, it was too hot for even them, we did see many birds, and fish and we were not disappointed at all. The lake is like no other with the cypress trees everywhere and channels for other boat travel. It was hot, so bring a drink and sunscreen if you go.
We hope to come back in the fall with the grand kids to take the pontoon boat out for a fishing trip. We are told that they will catch a bunch of fish, sometimes 50 or more.

A highly recommended park in northeast Texas with the largest natural lake in Texas and interesting swamp-land. This park is near the towns of Karnack, Uncertain, and Marshall.
We have been to this location more than once. It's a great place to hike. It's really wooded and hilly. During duck season hunters are allowed to hunt. There tent pads, covered shelters, and cabins available. You can rent canoes as well. There are piers for fishing. Lake Caddo is the only natural lake in Texas. There are places you can picnic. It's a great place to take your family if you want to be outdoors!

Personal Tours of beautiful Caddo Lake. Swamp Tour in a Go Devil swamp boat in the largest continuous stand of Bald Cypress in the world. Scenic Tours, Birding Tours, Photo Tours. NOTE: GOOGLE MAPS HAS THE LOCATION ABOUT A MILE SHORT OF THE ACTUAL LOCATION KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU SEE MY SIGNS 'CADDO OUTBACK TOURS'
John was brilliant, so much knowledge and made the experience much more than just the views. We took a two hour tour just before sunset and, as expected, the scenery was breathtaking. The small boat was able to venture into sections of the lake that larger boats just can't go. The ability to arrange a tour for just my partner and I was much more personal and a memory we won't forget.
A must do!

I wasn't sure what to expect when we started out on this tour of Caddo Lake but Michael made it interesting from the very beginning. I knew the lake was beautiful but I didn't think about all of the history surrounding it. Michael is so knowledgeable about the lake, the birds, the fish, and the surrounding area. I was in awe of the beauty of the lake and of the history of it as well. We took a sunset tour and I don't believe I have ever seen the colors of the sky so vibrant. Absolutely incredible. Michael really knows how to give you the best experience available. I would highly recommend taking this tour.

We stayed at Captain Ron's Gator Park Lodge (The Lazy Gator Lodge) which is an old church converted into a "cabin". With our stay, we had unlimited entrance to the gator park , botanical gardens, and petting zoo! So much fun. We woke up to the peacock's and chickens every morning. The gators were ready for their morning snacks that we fed them. We fell in love with the goats and pot belly pigs! One of the goats was ready to deliver her twins so we kept checking on her every hour. There is a train ride that is included and goes around the entire park for an up close and personal tour of the gators because the track goes over their pond!!!!......Captain Ron invited us to his personal family 4th of July cook out and fire work show, just because we were guest. Such a super person!!! We absolutely loved his grounds keeper, tour guide, house keeper, and go to girl Tanya! She was so informative, helpful, and caring to the entire grounds as well as treating us like family. It is definitely a beautiful and relaxing place. Captain Ron also owns and runs the Graceful Ghost steamboat. You get a discount if you stay at his lodge. The most enjoyable experience! Well worth going to Uncertain Texas.....

We weren't sure what exactly to expect but it surpassed anything we could imagine. From booking to everything it was perfect. I'm not sure you could find anyone who knows more about the lake and ecosystem of Caddo. I learned so much. Also if you have someone with special needs (wheelchair) there was no issue whatsoever. The route he took was beautiful and I learned so very much. I want to come back next fall and see the beautiful colors. I will be back.

Caddo Lake Tours and Canoe Rentals provides pontoon boat tours which explore the smaller back waterway as much as possible, along with main waterways and the sites more inhabited. We also offer photo tours for large club groups. Our location for canoe rental offers easiest access for a multiple of canoes trails into the more secluded areas. We accommodate canoe rentals small or large groups.
This is a very beautiful nature attraction. This place is located in East Texas near Karnack and Marshall,Texas. It is a nature based trip and it is a very historical place. Bonnie and Clyde (notorious bank robbers) hid out in this lake. This lake is a scene in quite a few Disney Movies. This area is beautiful and has beautiful lake front homes valued around the upper six figures. You can take a riverboat tour which cost about $25.00/ per person or contact Jack through the Marshall, Texas' City Commissioner,Gloria Moon and arrange for a private tour at a reasonable group rate. Jack is very knowledgeable the lake and its history. This lake extends into Louisiana. The lake's depth range from 5 -14 ft. Waters sports are allowed.
The restaurant onsite is known for its great fish dinners. The servings are large and everything is delicious. I can't wait just to go again for the fish dinner. The meals are reasonably priced as well...$$. I love the tour and will definitely do it again. Also this area is near where Lady Bird Johnson, former First Lady grew up and lived. You will see her birthsite home on the way to the lake tour.

Formerly Longhorn Ammunition Plant, this NWR site has wonderful birdlife and fauna that is slowly overtaking the remains of the ammo plant and storage area. There are 5 bunkers remaining, administration areas filled with decomposing paperwork, and various cement and steel structures that add interest to one's walk. Hiking around one finds shower head type structures. A lovely urban decay site that reminds me of visiting some former Communist sites in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
