The village cluster of Ubud is the ideal place to try a famed Balinese massage and soak up the ambiance of one of Asia’s top spa destinations. Acupressure, reflexology, stretching and aromatherapy star in the island's distinctively firm massage treatments. Ubud is also the vivacious center of Bali’s arts scene, home to a small treasure trove of museums and galleries. Monkey around at nearby nature reserve Monkey Forest Park, home to hundreds of mischievous long-tailed macaques. Don’t miss the valley of tomb cloisters at Gunung Kawi.

I really liked this musuem. Food and talking to locals are two of the best ways to learn about a culture. So is sitting back and observing it. So, also - is art. There is loads to learn about the Ubud and Balinese culture at this musuem. Once again, lovely airy buildings to wander through a short taxi ride up from the main street. Well worth a few hours of wandering around.

The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.
Although not often mentioned in travel guides, The Ridge walk was, for us, the most memorable part of exploring Ubud. A long walk through the rice fields, with magnificent sceneries, rice fields, and quiet villages was such a great escape from hustle and bustle of the Ubud city center. The day we have visited wasn't overly hot and in fact, we had a heavy shower along the way which was actually really nice and romantic. We stopped in Karsa cafe for an organic juice and one more spectacular and tranquil view on lotus-filled pond and rice fields. If you feel like it, massage service is available too. Don't forget a good pair of shoes and umbrella! A fantastic day we will remember forever!

We kept admiring the view from the hotel we stayed at and managed to find a way down some cobbled steps to follow this trail, its so peaceful and picturesque and you can actually walk into the centre from here, lots of opportunities to take some beautiful photos and meet the locals, always a plus when you can stop and listen to their stories. A lovely stream to follow although the paths can be very narrow at times lots of ducks and other species around, just a lovely leisurely stroll with the camera and if you forget your water there is always Nayoman the coconut man and his wife to stop and have a drink and a chat wonderful man......Wonderful couple..... thoroughly enjoyed our stroll

Join us for a sunrise trek to the summit of Mt.Batur (1717 meters) and experience the awesome beauty of an active volcano. Trekking in the cool, early morning darkness (torches, hiking sticks and wet weather gear supplied, if needed), we begin the one to two hour ascent to arrive in time to witness a glorious sunrise and experience the stunning morning views of the surrounding crater.
This was our second tour booked through Bali Eco Tours (also booked the Educational Cycling Tour), and we loved every moment. The team at Bali Eco Tours are fantastic and we were able to learn a little about the culture, traditions and history of your beautifu country. It was a great tour incorporating a moderately challenging hike followed by a beautiful massage and soak in the hot springs. Can highly recommend this tour. Thank you Bali Eco Tours!

The mission of The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Monkey Forest Ubud) is conserving the area based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana. Based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana, The Monkey Forest Ubud will be a featured of international tourist destination to create peace and harmony to the visitor.
It was a wonderful gift to be able to get in the sacred monkey forest, to see amazing carved artwork, sculptures and the temple with the monkeys enjoying their freedom and letting us be around them. If you came to Indonesia you must visit the forest. It's a very pleasant thing to do and gives you opportunity to understand a little more of their culture. Get your sport shoes, water bottle & comfortable clothes☝️????

Saraswati temple Kingdom of Ubud is dedicated to honor the Hindu Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature and art. This temple is very beautiful and artistic, so many tourists who come to see its charm, but for purposes of worship. Pura Taman Saraswati has a water garden and lotus pond at the center of its attraction as a tourist attraction. This temple is decorated with so many fine carvings and inside there Padmasana shrine located in the northeast, but it also contained bale barong, giant masks, statues of Goddess Saraswati and the statue of the devil Jero Gede Mecaling as high as 3 meters in front of the temple.
We stumbled upon this little gem as we walking back from the rice terraces and spent the next hour filling up the memory on our camera our kids were fascinated and the care taken in the maintenance was outstanding, definitely worth a visit my tip go early as when we were there we had the whole place to ourselves.

It is worth to see if you are around Ubud. You pay 3 euro for entrance .There are lots of good spots to take pictures. If you want you can walk near the waterfall and there is a very cute and traditional antic looked like place to take shower :)If you want to go up to the waterfall you pay 2 euro more and you can enter the river and garden and you can swim if you want .It is worth to pay if you like nature .It is better in the morning , calmer. There are lots of butterflies you can see which is a plus:). We spent 3 hours there , taking pictures without boring. There are small shops and cafeterias around.Clean toilets. There are lots of stairs :( not suitable for wheelchair or stroller. Also you have to cross the river on a small narrow wooden and bamboo bridge but not a big problem, it is safe.Lovely and very well managed place.
