Great fun and at a very reasonable price! This is a MUST for all folks...young and old. Love the friendly new owners (loved the prior owners too.) My son has becoming here every year since age 2! He still looks forward to hitting this place every year even as a teenager. #Love!

Sierra Repertory Theatre produced professional theatrical performances at two venues in the Sonora area. Our original theatre is located in East Sonora, and the Historic Fallon House Theatre is in Columbia State Park. Musicals, dramas, comedies, all with actors from Actor's Equity and other professional actors.
We have seen many, many plays at the Sierra Repertory Theatre over the years. They deliver consistently good performances that are enjoyable and highly entertaining. It really is amazing that a small town like Sonora can have such a first-rate theatre.

This historic Gold Rush town was made a state park in 1945. Between the 1850s and 1870s over one-half billion dollars in gold (at today's value) was mined in the area.
A friend and I visited Columbia State Historic Park without much background on the area or the park, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Several of the buildings provide educational information that was really illuminating. But I think what we enjoyed most was the overall atmosphere. You really feel transported back to a different time with the buildings, folks in costume, and activities. I would highly recommend a visit. I also think this is a great activity for multi-generational groups because the park has something to offer for everyone.

A pretty drive from Sonora, making your way through the hills and even some apple orchards, you get to Indigeny Reserve. Make sure you ask to try their vodka as well. They have a small gift store. It was probably 100 degrees when we got there, but the hard cider was so refeshing. We could not even tell it was alcohol.

This review is for the cafe at the bowling alley - very good food for a "bowling alley cafe"!
We had their pound for pound steak, delicious, the meat was super fresh, and they had so many sides that came with it too! Our friends had chicken salad, and walnut salad, both were excellent. Unfortunately the draft beer was kind of flat for a draft.
Service was ok - our server forgot a couple of our orders but she made up for them quickly.
Large TVs showing basketball/footlball. Restaurant is clean and airy, comfortable.

"The store name refers to the mix of modern, classic and vintage toys the shop offers, where shoppers can "travel back and forth" in time and buy new-in-the-box toys from the 1920s to 2015"
That pretty much sums it up. Bring your kids have fun buy toys!

After just a two hour orientation you're ready to say goodbye to civilization and take off into the wilds of the Sierras with some easy to handle, load carrying llamas. They're wonderful companions on the trail...almost always spotting wildlife before you do...pretty stoic about things that would send a horse or mule into orbit. Much cheaper than hiring a packer and best of all you're in charge of your destination and rate of travel. Great for older hikers like me...66...150 miles on the JMT last year with llama support, people with kids or hikers who want to have something left in the tank when they reach their destination!. I'm doing Rae Lakes Loop this year with my brother, nephew and grandnephew...taking a young 3 year old llama along for 'experience'. Put this on your bucket list is you like to get out of doors!
