Greenish blue Caribbean-like waters. A true paradise. The water changes colors according to the tides, from light green to infinite blue. There is only on free access to the beach though, otherwise you have to pay a day-use fee to the restaurants or pousadas around in order to park your car and use their chairs. There are no kiosks or vendors on the beach, so using the restaurants´structure might be necessary if you want to spend the day there.

The Sao Benedito Chapel, also known as Igrejinha dos Carneiros, was built in the mid-18th century by the Viscount of Rio Formoso, one of the first owners of Carneiros Beach. The last major reform of the Chapel took place between 1999-2001, and was promoted by its current owner, Zaldo Rocha Filho, heir and grandson of Rosalvo Ramos Rocha. At that time a semicircular frontal terrace was raised preventing the advance of the sea. Roof, floor, lighting, everything has been replaced or restored, but always preserving the Chapel’s original architecture. To this day Zaldo maintains, conserves and restores the Chapel with his own resources, through the Church’s rental for weddings and baptisms. With these same resources, coming from the chapel rents, the owner also promotes social actions through donations to various institutions, including Father Enzo Institute, NACC (Support Center for Children with Cancer), IMIP (Medical Philanthropic Organization),and the Catholic Parish of Tamandare City.
