I biked around the whole island from Iwakuni about 100 miles and enjoyed every minute of my trip to Oshima. There is a road that circles the entire island, I prefer the southern side. There are gorgeous views of the ocean and small fishing villages worth exploring. I noticed a lot of restaurants and cafes don't open until at least 11 am, so plan for that. I rode around the last day of November and the temperatures were on the cooler side mainly because of the winds. Right when you cross the bridge onto the island there is a mountain with an observatory deck that is worth it for the views. There are nice beaches along the island and a few museums, I will have to visit next time. Oshima is also famous for their oranges, so if you get a chance to try them, well worth it! What a fantastic island!
