In northern Romania near the Ukrainian border and once the capital of Moldova, today Suceava is a city of just over 100,000. Though fairly industrial, the city does have some great historical attractions, like the 14th-century Princely Court fortress and several medieval churches. The Bucovina History Museum is also popular. Best of all, Suceava is the perfect jumping off point for exploring the famous painted monasteries of Bucovina, set amid the gorgeous countryside just outside of the city.

These monasteries are a must visit for anyone wanted a taste of the real romania. Dedicated by Stefan Cel Mare after victories in battle, they are covered in intricate and beautiful artwork. The paint used is a natural recipe that cannot be recreated, making them hard to maintain and protect. Despite this, they are beautiful and complex and the fading from the wind in some sense only makes them more interesting. There is also "graffiti" (carvings in the stone walls on some of the monasteries), some of them from over 200 years ago, that is interesting to see.

Small and compact village museum. However, in terms of attention to interior house details, it's a 10/10. Interiors are reconstructed to perfection! All the important village interiors are presented: the potter, the blacksmith, the pub, water mill, the oil mill, church, primary school, weaving house, coats workshop, stables, barns along with traditional village homes with all their traditions such as agriculture tools, baptising, wedding, funeral rituals and many more. Unexpectedly amazing!

I went to this place because my wife and sister-in-law love painted eggs. I expected just another place with cute eggs. I was blown away. This is real art. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the research the artist has done world over to understand this art. The world perspective is then compressed to the bucovinean world of symbols and expressed flawlessly by the skill of the artist. It was worth every minute spent there.

Bucovina Museum - The fortress of Suceava, built at the end of the 14th century near the medieval city of Suceava, has been the main residence of the Moldavian princes for almost 200 years, today a historical monument of national level. In 2016 in the Fortress of Suceava was organized the first permanent exhibition illustrating themes of great interest to the public, such as the first and most comprehensive presentation of medieval weapons in Moldavia, the coats of arms of Moldavian rulers and noblemen from the 14th - 17th centuries or the medieval Treasure of Moldavia. Multimedia systems with medieval historical themes and video projections with subjects related to the history of the fortress represent a novelty in Romania.
Very nice restauration and we were lucky to visit in covit restrictions. Under of 50 people inside. Its not for the family with children and more for history purpouse. Lots of chambers with holograms and audio description. So you need over 1h for the visit,

A really nice beautiful mall with everything from grocery stores (auchan) to cheap clothing stores (h&m) to Sephora to jewelry and tech options. The food court is also quite plentiful with good selections. the mall has wifi, which is a plus, and everything is clean and open. The movie theatre is also pretty good.
