A 24-mile bike trail.
This trail is over 30 miles long that includes, woods, water, city and suburban views. It is well maintained and we are lucky to have it in Stevens Point. Great trail for biking, walking or a run.

The best brews are the ones that keep the traditions alive and the long standing tradition is Point Brewery supports their community by more than just providing jobs, they actually give back to the community through events and funding that support local families. They do not take out front page advertisements about their contributions because they actually do it for the belief in giving back to the community and family that work for them. This is another gem to seek out in Central Wisconsin because unlike Noel Group, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Travel Group (previously owned by AIG), LandsEnd and others who think that wage setting is appropriate treatment for the people who dedicate their lives to working for them, the Point Brewery is 'old school' and gives back to Wisconsin because we are raised on strong working ethics that raise up a company or NFL team like no other state has shown!

The park is fun and creative incorporation to get people and inspired at any age. The amazing creative life and inspired sculptures that bless the entrances of the universities, schools, and many parks throughout Central Wisconsin. It's just such a shame the state and courts are so corrupted no one can feel safe to enjoy these places anymore.

Schmeeckle Reserve is an ideal place for hiking, jogging, biking, canoeing, fishing, wildlife watching, or just relaxing. With over 5 miles of trails and boardwalks, a pristine 24-acre lake, a diversity of wildlife species, and a full-service visitor center and gift shop, the Reserve has something for everyone.
Schmeeckle reserve is a series of trails winding through woods and around a small lake. the trail is well kept up by the natural resource students of University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, I have seen deer all year and a ermine in the winter. when the lake is not frozen over there are canadian geese and ducks. lots of squirrels and birds. This Fall the walk around lake Jonas was very nice with the fall color in full bloom. a trail you can walk all year well you might need snow shoes some times.

Beautiful college campus featuring a giant tile mural designed by art professor Richard Schneider.
This university put so much into the graduation ceremony, large crowd, long hot day and somehow they managed to keep the gym cool and comfortable and had water available for all guests

A stretching stop for our family on the way home from northern WI, kids loved playing tag with their dad relaxed in some shade outside the perimeter of the park. Hot day so much of the equipment was a bit hot to play on, but we still had fun. Lots of climbing, slides and educational pieces incorporated throughout.

Each time I visit my mother-in-law we visit this fun children's museum. It is affordable and you can play for hours. There is an art area, a kid's pretend grocery, a camping area with a fun climber, huge windows that looks down on the street. There is a ton to do and even a baby room where you can nurse and change diapers. A great day out! I wish it was in Orlando!

This dog park is delightful. There are double gates in and out of the park, so it makes it easier to get yourself and your dog(s) collected before opening the gate to the park itself. There are several trails and short cuts all over. The people who bring their dogs here tend to have them under control. some are overly friendly, but my large dogs have always had a fun experience there. We see every breed imaginable. Every once in awhile we find an owner that doesn't keep track of their dog and it ends up going around with our dogs. Annoying, but what do you do. As long as my dogs don't mind... Can be hard for little dogs. When company has brought a smaller breed we keep them on a flexi-lead so we can bring them in and pick them up if need be. Did hear of a small dog being bitten badly by a large dog once.

This is a great place to go and look around. It's a bunch of cubicles made into their own little "stores" so many people can sell their stuff in one place. There is a check out in the front so you only have to make one transaction even if you buy from several places. There are antiques of all types and all sorts of craft stuff. I try to make a point to stop once a month as stuff rotates quickly.
If you see something you want, get it. It may not be there the next day.
I recommend bringing a stroller. They have carts, but there isn't a spot for kids to sit.
