This museum has a large variety of collections that would appeal to every family member. There are a couple of interesting outdoor installations. Gift shop is nice and there are local crafts, such as weaving, on sale throughout the museum.

Located in the historic town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and near Spaceport America, Riverbend is an affordable, smoke free, hot springs spa and resort, where guests can relax in a beautiful, laid back environment. It is one of the best hot springs in the southwest for its clean, comfortable pools and its unmatched views of the Rio Grande River and Turtleback Mountain.Guests choose from various public and private pools ranging in temperature from 101 to 108 degrees. They can soak in the mineral-rich, therapeutic waters by the hour, day, or stay the night and soak for free. From newly renovated and smoke free suites, family rooms or cottages, Riverbend has accommodations for most tastes and budgets and is dog friendly.Riverbend is walking distance to eclectic downtown T or C and its historic attractions, shopping, restaurants and art galleries. Outdoor recreation is found at the nearby Gila National Forest and Elephant Butte and Caballo Lakes. Riverbend is located on I-25 between Las Cruces and Albuquerque and is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the year.
Had a one-hour soak in one of the private springs (Rio) overlooking the river and Turtle Mountain. Clothing-optional in the private baths. Great water temperature, clean and a fantastic view. The lodge rooms were booked solid but next time I’ll try to stay on-site.

We stayed at Las Palomas, in the heart of the downtown hot springs district. The owner was very helpful during our stay and staff all very courteous and quiet. We appreciated the “whisper only” policy during our stay, which allowed us to focus on total relaxations. The hot spring pools there were indivual and different temps, which was also nice. Easy to book our slots. We had free range of the pools, since we were overnight guests, which I would highly recommend. Hope we can return some day....

This isn't like Tombstone. There are no novelty photo booths or actors roaming the streets. (There's also no food. Stop in Winston to get snacks and drinks, and to use the bathroom!) This is an ACTUAL ghost town. If that's your jam, you're going to love this. I had a great time learning about the history of the town from the people who helped give it new life it as an attraction. Talk to Don & Donna and they'll tell you everything you want to know and more. Make sure you buy Don's book in the gift shop! It is a really interesting read: action, adventure, death by skunk. While you're there, please be polite and don't take photos of peoples' houses. People actually do live here so if there are signs of life, no photos. Talk to Don & Donna first if you aren't sure.

NM does Veteran Parks really well. This was a great history lesson, followed by a great hike to the Rio Grande. Bring a picnic - two covered tables.

I wake up to a beautiful mountain view every morning! I just returned from the showers and there was plenty of hot water and the restrooms are very clean. I am in the Palomino campground with full hookups for only $18/night! New Mexico state parks are the best value in the country! I highly recommend this state park!

Well maintained off-leash dog park with separate areas for small and large dogs and an additional separate area for dogs that need less stimulation and more supervision. The park was recently opened and was named after the founder, Carole Wheeler. Grassy areas and beautiful views of Turtleback Mountain and the Rio Grande river. Proof of rabies vaccine required.
If your visiting t or c or driving to Abq or points south take the short detour through this eccentric town and let Rover roam. I love the 8’ fence that won’t let even the most athletic dog jump over it. Multiple runs. Don’t miss the funky thrift stores nearby

Spaceport America Experience visitors should be ready for an authentic experience they can’t get anywhere else! Spaceport America, the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, was designed to make space travel as accessible to all as air travel is today – and to be a place where visitors can have a have a hands-on, fun experience inside a real commercial space launch facility.
I very much enjoyed my visit to Spaceport America. Our tour guide, Curtis, picked us up at the Visitor Center in TorC and we stopped at Elephant Butte Dam for some photos along the way. At the Spaceport, we visited both Mission Control and the Terminal building, and got some great photos in both places. The visit to the Fire Station was also fascinating!
