The city is part of the Oklahoma City-Shawnee Combined Statistical Area; it is also the county seat of Pottawatomie County and the principal city of the Shawnee Micropolitan Statistical Area.

I actually visited twice during this month. They had a special military exhibit going on at that time and I wanted to share the experience with others. The art that is on permanent display is intriguing and awe inspiring. I will visit again.

This old place gives you a glimpse into the past. When you visit, take your time and look at all the collection of train stuff. Visit with the ladies that work there, they have a lot of good stories.

Hotel staff & rooms were great! Spa, Not so much-facial was great-couples massage not so great-music blaring couldn't relax, asked her to turn it down-she said she would but never did-massage was in a meeting room-Not relaxing at all & massage wasn't all that good either.

Went to Shawnee, OK to watch the pro bowlers tournament.
Nice twenty-four lane center, with lots room for chairs so we could sit and watch.
Place had a bar, a game room and a Subway shop (seems like almost every establishment we
entered in the area had a Subway).
The center is out of the way, I would have never found it except for my GPS.
Will go back next time they hold the pro bowlers tournament. Hopefully soon.

I have been to the BDC Gunroom twice now, on both occasions as an instructor and shooter using the ranges.
This facility has a friendly staff, very large selection of guns and gun gear, classrooms, archery range, and two large 25 yard indoor range bays. Ventilation is excellent, and the ranges are kept very clean.
An interesting service for gun history buffs are the rental guns, some of which are rare and older military rifles and machine guns.

The Black Hawk Casino is located in Shawnee, OK. We offer a variety of slots and table games. The One River Restaurant and Bar in our facility offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonably low prices. We have a no ante ever policy and a state of the art smoke filtration system. my husband, my aunt and myself were out for a night of gaming and fun. we definitely found it here at black hawk casino. i saw several people hit big jackpots setting around me. i got on a two dollar lucky ducky machine and it was singing the happy song of a machine spitting money out at me. it would not finish one set of win bells before it would hit again. so it would end one set of bells and jump off in another one. when we got there the casino gave us a 10 dollar match play. meaning you give them a ten and they put twenty on your card to play with. i had a great time gaming there. the machine are far enough apart i can get my wheel chair down all the aisles.

This has become a must see attraction in Shawnee ever since it was featured on Ghost shows and You tube.. Also many Oklahoma News papers have written about it and if you are interested in the paranormal.. this is a must see... and you learn the history of Shawnee

the Arts @317 has lots of great art of many different genres including photographs, oil and water color paintings, jewelry, blown glass, wood carvings, textile art... the list goes on! There are many different price levels from which to choose as well.
