Situated 14 miles (22.5 km) south of the city of York, along the course of the River Ouse, Selby is the largest and, with a population in 2001 of 13,012, most populous settlement of the wider Selby local government district. The town population had increased at the 2011 census to 14,731.

Beautiful place to visit, the stained glass is fantastic. The grounds were more extensive before the reformation but the Minster itself is awe-inspiring. Has a lovely little café inside that serves teas and coffees with homemade cake and has a little gift shop. The washbasins in the facilities have a great view of a stained glass window! Go visit when you are in the Selby area.

This is a WONDERFUL shop. They have lots of different cheeses that I can buy in smaller quantities. This is good as it means I can buy a little portion of one new to me to try (although they will give dames) and as I live alone I don't have to buy more than I need. They also sell lots of different pickles, oils etc. Why not visit and give it a go?

Holy Trinity is a small Victorian Parish Church built to serve the rural community of Barkston Ash. Built from local stone the Church itself is modest and simply decorated, apart from celebrations such as Easter, Harvest and Advent. The Church is run by the community and a few years ago a memorial garden was created. The garden, and often the Church are open for all to visit and rest awhile.

Fantastic place, lots to do, we have had numerous parties here and the staff are exceptional. Friendly and very efficient. Really is a great bowling alley, laser quest and karting.

I am the first person to review this golf club and feel I need to share our wonderful experience of this venue We booked this venue for our daughters wedding after viewing and meeting the manager and co-ordinators , Gill and Charlotte. I have to say they are totally professional and very accomodating in selling the venue to us for our function, introduced us to the chef, showed us all around the rooms , told us about the clubs policies and explained what catering options were available, showed us some photos of previous functions , they were really efficient . We had the wedding on Friday 17th August 2018 , the room looked absolutely amazing all organised and presented by Gill and the Team . The food was delicious really well presented and very tasty , Gill announced over the mike for the kids to come to the front and sat on seperate table so the adults could enjoy there food a really special touch as she really looked after them , we had photos taken of the lovely golf course views as a back drop to the wedding photos , the bar staff were brilliant all very efficient and pleasant in the service highly commendable. for a small fee They cut the wedding cake up and served to our guests , we had a photo booth, sweet shop and excellent DJ and overall a perfect day , my thoughts on this are the little touches from Gill and the team who went that extra mile to give great service and attention to detail made the difference. I sincerely thank them for exemplary service and would highly recommend this venue and the service that comes with it as outstanding probably the best venue in Selby. Many Thanks to Gill and the team and the President of the club for allowing us to enjoy our really special day at your club. Thank You - Joe Aveyard and family.
