Boat Model Kits Made in Maine. The oldest boat model ship business in the US. The business was founded in 1905. We manufacture over 80 kits. Beginner to expert levels of models kits are available. All casting and fittings are made in our foundry. Many of our models are in museums such as the Smithsonian. The company is owned by Nic and Trisha Damuck. Nic has been a modeler since the age of 4. The gallery has many of the models he has made. He teaches a rigging class every May for 1 week. BlueJacket is Open year round with extended hours during the summer Mon-Sat 9-5pm.
Frequently order parts for model boat building, they are one of the few places you can still order parts. The staff are helpful.

Super great time. Can go for 9 holes or 18. They have a great Tuesday special with cart for $20 per person. Club rental is $5. Beautiful grounds. Amazing customer service from Susan. Grab lunch at their snack bar. Perfect day for social distancing. We have been coming and enjoying for years. This place is for sale but has not been sold yet. It is a local gem. There is great pride and care taken for the grounds and the course. It is a laid back golf course with an amazing layout. It is affordable and enjoyable.

Made up of 13 buildings, this seafaring village is the oldest maritime museum in Maine. The museum has a vast collection of boats including commericial fishing boats and recreational watercraft.
We spent at least three hours visiting this unique museum. There is so much variety here: a historic sea captains house outfited with period furnishings, displays of boats (old, restored and replicas), artwork from various artists and many hands-on displays for children. The staff were well informed and helpful, adding much to our visit. This museum is totally different from the marine museum in Bath, both are excellent!

Swing through after the museum or a trip to Searsport. They have great T-shirts for adults and kids. There is a cute section of baby gifts. There is a section for women’s clothing. Tons of jewelry. The household items section is my favorite. It is a great store for hostess gifts. Check out the sidewalk sale out front. Each Grasshopper shop is independently owned. It is a great place.

This is an excelent small town park. Modern kids playgroud, gazebo and covered picnic pavilion as well as a picnic area with tables and grills. Basketball court and large open fields for whatever ball game you want to play or fly kites. The beach is sandy with large rocks to sit on higher up. Low tide is great as there is a spit of land to walk out on as well as a few tide pools. A handicap portapotty and dog pickup bags availabe at a small parking arra. There is streeside parking too. You can fish from the beach and try caming with a permit obtainable at the town office. Maine takes fishing, hunting and claming permits seriously so please get one. Stargazing is great as is tanning. There's usually a breaze off the bay. If you are looking for 7 flags, this isn't it. If you are looking for a family quiet park, you found it.

This place was awesome... I have never seen more antiques in one place and everything was so organized! The owner was super nice and knows exactly what he has and where stuff is! If you are looking for something old, there is a pretty good chance you'll find it here:)
