We made a circuitous trip to Waterloo, Elmira, and back home to the Albany area. We have seen all 3 "new" casinos as approved by Lord Cuomo. Good luck to all of them. Del Lago is by far the best. Large, upscale, welcoming. Rivers Casino in Schenectady is by far the weakest. Small. hard to get to, and unimaginative.

This place looks like it could work. They have the existing horse racing. They are equidistant to Binghamton, Elmira, and northern PA. And, they are on an interstate. But, will anyone want to stay in a hotel in Nichols, NY - with nothing to do for 50 miles? There is nothing "cosmopolitan" about this place. More like "prairie land."

We liked the high ceilings, and the spacious layout. It is quite a walk from the hotel area (under construction) to the existing casino. All the machines appeared new, modern and inviting. Will there be enough people who want to come here, and can afford it? Time will tell.

We went there today as a three generation family. There is something for everyone to enjoy! Our granddaughters really enjoyed riding the horse and we enjoyed watching them ride it. They also loved the zip Line! The chickens followed us around the grounds. The baby piglets were eating out of our hands. We saw and fed the goats and ducks and sheep. We also enjoyed the hay ride. It was a lovely day!

We jumped over here when we stayed at the Hampton Inn just next door before they closed on a weeknight. My husband loves beer & wanted to check it out. The dining area was clean and inviting. The staff were helpful and quick! We hope to return for lunch or dinner when we are in the area again. The beer was fresh, tasty, and the selections were interesting!

My Christmas present was pictures of my 3 children together at the Glen. It was the best gift I have ever received. The falls were in the background and it was beautiful. We also picnic there and walk the trails in the summer. They have pavillions and grills, very nice for family functions.

Sayre Historical Society Museum

Reviewed By Josh M - Ithaca, New York

This place is located in an old Train Station in Sayre, which was a main hub for the Lehigh Valley back in the day. It had a ton of great train memorabilia, but also some other interesting pieces of Sayre's past. One such interesting artifact, Robert Packer's examining table, was found in the attic and put on display recently - very appropriate, given it's proximity to Robert Packer Hospital. Definitely worth visiting!

Tioga Downs Antiques and General Marketplace

An antique marketplace with 36,000 sq feet of indoor shopping and over 90 vendors

Reviewed By ValleyDrive57 - Horseheads, New York

This place has many booths some are manned and others are not. There is a lot of different things to shop for from knickknacks to furniture from modern to antique. The prices are reasonable and they will dicker with you on the price. If the booth is not manned then ask the cashier and she will look up how much that booth owner will discount. We have bought many different things from here and have been very happy with our purchases. One downfall is that the only bathrooms are outside portable toilets.

Where the hell do I start? For one, their beers are so unique, it's very hard to pick a favorite. Plus, they held a chili cookoff! How cool is that? The staff was, and IS much more friendly than I have seen other places act. They had a band playing there that did REALLY good, and honestly, made me staying longer than planned. Do I suggest you stop by and check this place out? uh.... DUH!!! Of course I do!!

Of the 16 wines that I tried there was only one that I did not enjoy (Dragon's Breath). They actually tasted like they were supposed to (Ex: The coffee tasted like coffee)!! The owner was very friendly, even interacting with our 7 month old daughter. Cannot wait to go back and try some of the new releases.
