Savaneta is a village in southeastern Aruba. Home to the oldest surviving home in Aruba, it is the oldest town on the island and its former capital. It was where the Dutch first settled after they recaptured it in 1816. The Dutch marines have barracks stationed in Savaneta.

Using our underwater scooters, we can show anyone from beginners to experienced snorkelers a fun and unique way to discover the best snorkeling Aruba has to offer. We snorkel off the beach in an area called Mangle Halto. It is by far the best coral and marine life on the island. Your group sizes can range anywhere from 1 person to 8 people, although we can can accommodate larger groups during certain times. Please email for further information on larger groups. For more information please read our FAQ page on our website.
Thanks to Kyra and the rest of the team for fantastic customer service and a great experience. You feel safe and taken care of, and they guide you to places you would probably not go to by yourself, due to the currents, and the boats passing. The scooters are really nice to help you «fight» the waves and current. And on top of it all, the next day, they send you a lot of underwater photos of yourself and some of the fish you saw.
Already looking forward to my next Aruba vacation, and a trip with Aruba Bob :-)

Our family did the El Tours Full-Day 4x4 Jeep Tour while on a cruise visit to Aruba. They were very responsive from initial inquiry and booking and gave great instructions on meeting their representative at the port.
The day begins with a 25 minute air-conditioned bus ride to the Jeeps where we met our guide, Ronald, for the day. The Jeeps are 4-door and some have fold-back tops. Ours did. We had 3 persons, but paid for 4 so that we would have the Jeep to ourselves for the day. It is a follow the leader, caravan type excursion with about 10-12 Jeeps.
The morning was spent touring the rocky, desert-like coast of the island with several stops including the California Light House, a natural bridge at the ocean, the old gold mill, the oldest church on the island... The next stop is at the largest rock formation on the island where we saw some ancient petroglyphs and walked around the circle path up the rocks. This is the point where the people on the half-day tour leave the group.
The full-day tour continues on the the Aruba Ostrich Farm for a tour where you can feed the ostriches if you want to. Lunch is severed at a large covered picnic area following this tour. We had the BBQ chicken and ribs and they were very good. Lunch isn't served until around 2pm on this tour and so you may want to take along some snacks, protein bars... Our guide offered the group water/soda at every stop. Aruba is a very dry, arid island and so it is very important to keep well hydrated.
After lunch, our caravan drives 40 minutes to the south side of the island to Baby Beach for some snorkeling/beach time. We only had an hour at the beach which I didn't feel was a whole lot of time to relax.
Next it's a 25 minute drive back to the Jeep depot where we were met by a bus to return us to the cruise ship port. There were others that had to be dropped off at hotels along the way and we were an hour later that the listed tour time returning to the ship. This was ok with us because our ship was staying in port until 11pm. But if you have a ship that departs early or you have early dinner plans, you may want to choose the half-day tour.
We had a great day with Ronald as our guide. I would recommend this full-day tour to those who have plenty of time. It was a lot of fun.

By working in small groups this allows us the flexibility to adapt to our guests experience a/o needs. Most of our guests are boat diving from our 36' vessel conveniently docked behind the airport. We make scuba diving on your Aruba vacation convenient and enjoyable.Once you arrive at JADS you are more then a guest; you become family. On property: Bar & Grill, rinse area, washrooms...All experience levels are welcomed.
We went to Aruba with average expectations of the diving experience as many have discussed the visibility and locations. We were on the hunt for our Advanced PADI dive certifications and Jad's delivered. From the super organized Jad's team to the relaxed but properly instructive atmosphere above and below the water, we enjoyed our six dives immensely. Not only were Sue, KC and Jahir awesome but so were the people we had a chance to dive with all week. Water was 75 to 78 so there was a bit of algae bloom with lower temperatures that made the visibility 45-50 feet. Not great but tons of sea life. We saw turtles, spotted eagle ray, Octopus, squid, a few different types of eels, lobster a ton tropical fish. The best dive was off the lighthouse in Noord. We would definitely dive with the Jad's team again.

Rancho Loco is an equestrian center that is dedicated to boarding and caring of horses, training of juvenile horses, riding lessons for beginners as well as experienced riders and horseback ride tours.
My husband and I had a great experience with horseback riding at Rancho Loco! We were met right outside of where our cruise ship was docked and driven to the ranch where we embarked on a 3.5 mile horseback ride through the national park to the natural pool. The scenery was just breathtaking and swimming in the natural pool was an amazing experience. Andreas and Danny were our guides and they were great guys and very professional. We were amazed at how well trained the horses were and how well they rode over hilly and rocky terrain. We had a perfect day and have fond memories of our experience with Rancho Loco.

This is just an awesome way to see the west coast of Aruba. Chermette & Daniel were gracious hosts who are full of history about the island, the Dutch, & just anything & everything Aruba. The horses were gentle & sure footed. The coast from shore to cactus is an amazing adventure. Give yourself a couple hours to enjoy this wonderful getaway.

Arias Schwarz through his love of nature, animals, and Aruba tries provide his guests with the most memorable and remarkable tour experience. Our Mission statement is not to be the largest company in Aruba but rather the best. Using only the newest and most advanced vehicles on the island, we begin our tours at 6am and head to the most remote locations on the island such as Black Beach, Natural Pool, The National Park and Boca Grandi. As an added bonus all our guests, through Arias's passion for Kite Surfing are all given their first kite lesson.
Took the sunrise ATV tour with Arias on 11/9/16.
The vehicles were in great shape, clean and comfortable. Arias took the time to find out what we wanted to see and then delivered. His high energy, truly unique approach to "our" adventure was fun, refreshing and memorable. He is proud of the island, truly wants you to see and enjoy it and gets you to appreciate it at the pace he sets- but with flexibility in our small group. We visited some of the "usual" places on the windward side of the island but with a twist. The Natural Pool was ours, and ours only because we got there just after sunrise long before any other tourists. We also visited caves and the fish pedicure. The highlight of the trip was the secluded, uninhabited beach where the group split up for a serene swim and relaxation for as long as we all wanted.
We finished the day in the comfort of his hotel and use of the pool and showers to clean up after an exhilarating ride.
Arias also knows the island scene quite well and provides lots of great tips for your stay.

Who would have thought that these two caves, renowned in folklore as the site where two lovers burst through rock and into heaven, would be so dark, damp, gritty and full of bats?
The Guadirikiri Cave is one of the many, and one of the more interesting, stops along Aruba’s surprisingly arid, remote and rough north coast that can be reached by organized tour or by renting an ATV, UTV or Jeep 4x4, the latter offering air conditioning and protection from dust is a good choice given the dirt roads and Aruba’s heat. While the cave is probably reachable in an ordinary rental car using care, many other sites along the north coast are not.
Located in Arikok National Park, entrance fee of $11 per person, one reaches the cave by taking the park’s paved road (be careful as the drainage ditches serve as severe reverse speed bumps) to the end at Boca Prins then following road that becomes dirt road to the right for about 1.2 miles (1.9k). Unlike the nearby Fontein Cave which is only open when rangers are present, Guadirikiri Cave is open to self-guided exploration whenever the park is open.
To enter the cave, one must ascend a short staircase caved into the limestone, with the aid of handrails, to reach the entrance but once in the cave there is no more climbing. The cave is quite small, composed of only a couple of larger chambers, with columns eroded out of the coral limestone and a number of openings in the ceiling of the larger chambers allowing sunlight to enter. While a flashlight is helpful, one in not necessary due to the openings in the ceiling. The shafts of sunlight interacting with the moist air of the cave, the dust and columns provides a beautiful, surrealistic image. The cave is also inhabited by bats and we did see a few of these mosquito eaters during our visit.

We really enjoyed our trip to Baby Beach. We are annual travelers to Aruba -- go every August for a family vacation. This was our first adventure to Baby Beach and it didn't disappoint. This beach is very different than Palm Beach. There are many locals and the atmosphere is relaxing and calm. There are TURTLES IN THE WATER!! It was so cool! They were quite large and I'd never experienced anything like this before. We enjoyed our trip to Baby Beach; a perfect addition to our already awesome vacation! We will definitely go back. The water is calm although I have heard that there are strong currents - I stayed pretty close to the shore and didn't experience them. They have a truck that sells soda and chips -- but I would suggest packing a few drinks and snacks. There was a bar/grill but we didn't use their services. An all around nice place to visit. Bring Sunscreen, towels, and an underwater camera. We stay in Palm Beach and rented a car for the day -- so this was a perfect stop along our adventure route. We stayed there for about 3 hours and then went to Flying Fish Bone before returning to Palm Beach - absolutely fabulous day!!

Visit Donkey Sanctuary Aruba where you can feed and pet the donkeys from the safety of our enclosed porch. They especially love apples and carrots, so feel free to bring some along. There is no admission fee, though your generous donations are greatly appreciated and are what continue to allow us the ability to care for our donkey family, which has approximately 130+ members at the moment. Our volunteers will be more than happy to show you around and answer your questions. And if you get there early enough, you can even help with the daily chores of feeding and caring for the donkeys, a great and educational experience for children! If you’d rather just observe, then you’re welcome to grab a seat on our covered porch, sit back with some coffee or a cold beverage and snack from our concession stand, or take a look inside our gift shop. Whatever you decide, we look forward to seeing you there!
This sanctuary houses the majority of the donkeys on the island. There are only a few remaining outside this facility because they were getting hit by cars. This place has a large area for the donkeys to roam and they seem well taken care of. They get real excited when its feeding time and all gather around to be fed. They generally take food gently, but I did notice some bullies and others were more timid. I tried to spread the wealth when feeding to make sure every donkey got a share. There are also some friendly cats and beautiful peacocks onsite. This place does not have an organized tour, you mostly wander around on your own. That was fine with us. It is a nice place to spend an hour or so. We visited the same day we went to Baby Beach and Arikok national park.

We had the pleasure of having a private tour of Aruba with Cerry this past Thursday. We enjoyed each of our stops and the customized sightseeing tour Cerry gave us. He took us to places of our interest. He was very informative and friendly. We enjoyed our day and would recommend his service to anyone looking for a private tour.
