I visited here recently on a wine tasting trip to Colchagua Valley. Case Silva is located about halfway between Santiago and Santa Cruz in Angostura. The winery is a beautiful estate, with a large tasting room. Appointments are necessary and begin with a short film about the family, estate and wines. Clearly large investments have been made in their facilities and there is also a large gift shop in the tasting room. We did the premium tasting but I did not find the quality of the wines to be that impressive - more akin to US wines in the $15-$20 per bottle range. We tasted the Casa Silva Reserva Sauvignon Blanc-2015, Dona Dominga Cuvee Colchagua -2009 and the Casa Silva Carmenere Microterroir de Los Lingues – 2008. They have a beautiful on property restaurant so definitely stay and have lunch here.

Chimbarongo has wicker fairs and stores as no other city in Chile has, but this shop is, in my true opinion, the best of all. The most gorgeous wicker works are sold here, in Mimbres El Profe, and the attention is always warm toward tourists. Just buy and enjoy!

Viña Koyle produces terroir oriented reserve wines from the Colchagua Valley.
Me and my boyfriend Joe had an amazing time at the winery.
We rang the winery about 4 pm and Fagundo advised that they shut at 4:30pm, but he could definitely receive us after hours and show us the winery process.
We got there about 5:30pm and had a great time. Fagundo explained everything about the winery and provided us with all the responses for our questions as well as the best wine testing we have ever experienced.
Koyle wines are fantastic and they have a particular way of receiving their clients.
Thank you to Fagundo and Koyle Family Vineyards.

Wonderful tour of a property that has been in the same family since 1790. If you are into history and antiques this is a great experience. Lunch in the garden by the Fountain was very good. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were the kind you only get from home cooking. We had dishes we had dwe had never encountered before.
There are 14 guest rooms decorated in period style. I'm sure it would be like a time warp staying here.
There is horseback riding, a nice pool and lots of activities.
The internet is great but that's about it for modern touches. Not for everyone but we loved it.

We had a Lovely day fly fishing with Will in the river Claro.
The day started at Tunaman Lodge where we were greeted by the staff and got ready for a short trip to the river.
We were dropped of near the river and after a short hike down we got down to business.
Will gave us excellent instructions on how to fish the waters for best results.
He is a very good instructor both for senior anglers and newbies.
We spent the day Walking in and along the river and fishing along the way.
Mid day Will had packed lunch for us with soft drinks to follow. We ate in the shade by the river, not a human in sight but just the sound of the river and nature.
In the afternoon when we were done fishing we were picked up by the staff and driven back to the lodge to drop of the Equipment and continue our drive back to Santiago.
All in all this was a really fantastic adventure and Will is a really good guide and host.

Their best wines were VERY expensive. The tasting room near the cellar is exceptional with recorded monks chanting 24/7. Interesting concept. Lovely person helping do the tasting. Went "next door" for lunch with was very good.

We did a vertical tasting with some excellent wines. Sofia was very knowledgeable and sweet too. The wine tasting room is set up beautifully and very serene. Specialize in making a blend of carmenere and cabernet that is excellent but pricey, around $65 a bottle.
