Our hotel (Old Central Firehouse Bed and Brew) told us about this hidden gem. Beautiful paintings and art spread along an alley off Avenue D and Irving. I loved it...the creativity to take a random alley and fill it with art made me smile. Check out the other public art in San Angelo; the city really embraces public art! In addition to Paintbrush Alley, look for the historical murals on downtown buildings, the sculptures (love the mosaic cars!) on the Riverwalk and the Sunken Gardens, and the Pop Art Museum (on Twohig between Irving and Randolph). Don’t miss the mosaic floor at the Sassy Fox...amazing!
