This is our new favorite venue. Honestly the back row is as close as the priciest seats in bigger venues. It's intimate and the sound is really great too. It's an old theater with the accompanying charm AND small seats :-)

The Kane County Cougars have been around for years. Expect some Midwestern summer foods, a lot of families with children and between inning entertainment. The split-the-pot raffle is definitely a chance worth taking - I won $366 in August of 2016. Go on a fireworks night.

We went and the place was closed. We did see this on the website so we were no surprised. We walked the grounds and there is a lot to see. You have to be watching for the signs or you will miss it. You park...MoreThank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the grounds as much as we do.

We spent the afternoon walking and enjoying the park and Fox River Walk. The park has a lot of activities for families. It has miniature golf, paddle boat rides, a water park, community center and plenty of picnic tables.
The River Walk includes a bridge to cross the river. The park includes areas that are available for private functions (by permit), including weddings.

We live in Wisconsin and like this trail for its length, its proximity to the Fox River, and its many places to shop and eat. On weekends, the trail is crowded; on weekdays, not so much. The trail is 99.9% paved and is in good to excellent shape. Some sections have been recently been repaved. Other sections need some work. It is relatively flat except at St. Charles. It also connects to several other trails. It's pretty well shaded.

I've walked along the river at Island Park countless times. It is altogether lovely. Through the years, they have upgraded the stone bridge and it's much more spacious and attractive. There are beautiful gardens here in the spring and summer. During the summer, they perform Shakespeare here and over Labor Day weekend, the Island Park hosts a folk music festival that is a lot of fun. I love seeing the trains pass over the river via the bridge. It's just an altogether wonderful place--one of my all-time favorites.

Geneva is a great town in the suburbs of Chicago. What most people are unfamiliar with would be a small, but successful, brewery. The location is not ideal for anyone that is roaming around the downtown area. However, once you get there, there are several tables and the possibility to play some games. I believe that they can expand their option to include more outdoor seating, but it's a great spot for a drink before going out to dinner.

Otter Cover is more like a small water park than a pool. It has a deep pool with swimming lanes and a slide that shoots you out into the deep pool. A toddler pool with all kinds of fun things shooting and dumping water. A shallow pool that has a frog slide for young children and several things that shoot out water. Two larger water sides, one that you can ride inner tubes on. A lazy river that you ride inner tubes on complete with buckets that dump water and other things to get you wet. Also there is a splash pad area that has lots of fun things to get you soaking wet and a nice large sand area to play in. My kids love it here, with so much to do it is hard for them to get board. Also there is a nice clean facility here with locker rooms and bathrooms. There is also a picnic area that concessions are sold at. If you come in the evening they offer discounted passes for the end of the day.

We sought this distillery out as it is listed as one of 17 distilleries in the Illinois Spirit Trail phamplet. The owners, Amy and Mike super nice and the tour was very informative. The tasting was great too and led us to purchase several bottles afterwards. We look forward to stopping by again and possibly helping with bottling!
