For over 20 years my office was only two doors down from this large bowling and entertainment place but I seldom set foot inside. Last week I took my two pre-teen grandsons there on a day when school was not in session and they had a good time bowling while I watched and cheered for them. Bowling has gotten expensive and there is no discount here for kids. Plenty of parking in their dedicated lot.

Demarest Farm

Reviewed By mrcarats - Brooklyn, New York

just finished reading some of the reviews that had rated this place poor-terrible. I noticed these were all reviews dating back a number of years. I am glad someone at the farm must have been paying attention to all the negative stuff and worked on improving it. I was just there Sunday Aug 6th. Yes it was crowded. but found that they had organized sufficient parking. They have 3 hayrides up to orchard so the wait is no longer more than 5-10 minutes.
The bag we were given holds about 12 lbs of peaches. Although most were still hard and thankfully so. As there is no way we could have finished them all before they rotted had they been completely soft. Also they did not seem to mind people noshing on peaches as they picked as opposed to other places where they ask you not to eat as you pick. Peaches were delicious. For $30,(5$ per person entrance plus 10$ for the bag) we got about 13 lbs of peaches to take home plus whatever we ate while we picked. A little pricier than your local fruit store but well worth it. The peaches are delicious. If you are there with little kids they have a small petting zoo (some goats llamas or alpacas not sure which and a pig) all running around in a little corral keeps the little one entertained for an additional 40 minutes maybe longer if they do not get bored quickly. as someone else mentioned don't bother buying the wafers they sell as animal feed from what i saw the animals weren't interested. All in all a good time if you don't have to drive far to get there. We actually stopped there just to break up a little road trip we were on. Would consider going back after labor day for apple season.

Ultimately we solved the problem with 21 seconds remaining. The place itself is clean and bright. The staff was friendly and supportive. It was a very enjoyable experience and is a place that we are looking forward to visiting again!

The Hermitage

Reviewed By robcurtross - New York City, New York

The Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark and house museum, incorporates a stone house that was visited during the Revolutionary War by General George Washington. It was also the site of the marriage of Aaron Burr and Theodosia Prevost. Its picturesque Gothic Revival design dates to the 1847–48 renovation by the architect William H. Ranlett.

The grounds are pleasant, and from time to time there are special events, including Civil War re-enactments.

Last month I attended the antique British car and motorcycle gathering, Classic Triumph, MG, Austin-Healey, Jaguar, Lotus, Morgan, tvr, Mini, Sunbeam, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and other British automobiles were on display.

The lecture series can be very educational; check the website to see what is on offer.

The Other Tales - Escape Rooms

The Other Tales - Escape Rooms offers real life mystery adventure games. Our games are an immersive experience, where players become part of the story as they look for clues, solve puzzles and uncover the mystery. Movie-like sets, deep story, and unusual riddles are fun for adults of all ages.

Reviewed By millasha - NJ

Clues are well designed and distributed along the room, so if you are (like me) come in a company of 8 people, there is plenty of room to work together on clues and not feel crowded. Clues are hard enough, but not impossible to crack. Highly recommend as fun weekend family activity, an anniversary outing, or even small office celebration.
