Lounsbury House, a National Historic Site, was built in 1896 by former Connecticut Governor Phineas C. Lounsbury. While attending the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, Governor Lounsbury was so taken by the Connecticut State Building that he built a replica to serve as his family home. Today, Lounsbury House is a place to celebrate life's memorable milestones. The House and classic gardens serve as a venue for weddings, corporate meetings, art gatherings, festivals and private events for all seasons.

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum advances creative thinking by connecting today’s artists with individuals and communities in unexpected and stimulating ways.
A ride in the country from the city is not complete unless one lists the charming Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield Ct. The shows are highly contemporary in a typical charming New England town adding a diverse array of contemporary artists. Small enough giving the viewer an opportunity to become intimately involved and truly enlighing the spectator. Once you try it I promise you'll enjoy going again guaranteed no two experiences are the same.

A historic house museum originally built in 1713. The house has served as a colonial tavern, 19th century hotel, and 20th century summer estate. The house was the target of British cannon fire during the Battle of Ridgefield in 1777, the only inland battle in Connecticut during the American Revolution. During the early 20th century, the property was the summer estate of famed architect Cass Gilbert. Access to the museum is by guided tour only. Guided tours of period rooms are given by costumed docents.
This small, fascinating museum offers an interesting look into the history of the building, which has been, at various times, a post office, a hotel, a farmhouse, a private home, and a tavern. It's well-preserved and reflects its 18-century history with pride, and is now a local historical and cultural landmark. It also has a gorgeous garden, which can host small weddings as well. Take a tour of the place, the guides are super knowledgeable.

My sister and I took our mom to unwind and de stress. We were all totally refreshed and relaxed at the end of our session. My mom and I both have asthma and felt a difference in the air quality right away! The air felt pure and clean. I’m excited to learn more about the health benefits associated with Himalayan salt. Will definitely be going back.

We went on a Saturday late afternoon and found the place packed. The staff behind the bar were very helpful and explained the features of each brew. We chose a flight so that we could sample 4 different brews. On the board they write the name of each so that you know which one you are drinking. All were delicious!!! There was a food truck outside which had their waiter passing through the brewery taking orders and serving great food to accompany the brews. We sat at a tall table in the enclosed porch. It was a lively atmosphere and fun to actually go and see the brewery in a back room!
