One of the best places in Rafina. A traditional small church above the port of Rafina. An excellent and wonderful view of the entire sea around.

Very nice settled port, pleasant and very organised! A host of ticket service offices, coffee places and local restaurants are just a few meters away from bording! Not at all crowded, with no bad 'port' smells and all routes to islands are much shorter than from Peiraius!!! Also, it poses beautiful and imposing under the huge, natural cliff with a white-blue church on the top, dedicated to Agios Nicolaos, protector & inspector of sea travelers for safe and calm trips. A port full of surprises!!

We visited the Cyclades island group staring form Rafina port in Athens (second largest after Piraeus) and used only fast ferries. Fast indeed (and clean) but without open decks. If you want the crossing to be a memorable part of your journey, then choose a slower car ferry where you can relax on the open decks and feel the Aegean breeze!
