Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. For a break from surf and sand, saddle up with a local gaucho and ride horseback through the wild plains surrounding the city.

The Ralli Museums is focused on drawing attention to the works of living Latin-American Artists. Additionally, it exhibits works by European 15th through 18th. Century artists, post-impressionism collections as well as paintings and sculptures representing other artistic trends. As a non-profit, private institution we do not accept donations or subsidies fromo either public or private sources. Nor do we engage in any kind of commercial activity; consequently, no dining facilities or museums shops are available in our premises. We hope you will enjoy this proposal as muchs as we have enjoyed preparing it for you.
This museum is a must visit place when in Punta Del Este. It has free entry and is full of bronzes in the gardens through which one can walk. There are also two floors indoors which has a collection of paintings and sculpture by some of Latin America's most talented artists complemented by works by Dali, Chagall and others. Of particular interest are the many caricature paintings of past and current day events. The Ralli Museum is set in a beautiful building itself. This is one of the best museums I have visited offering something totally different from what one would expect.

This very nice beach is a favorite for beach-goers as well as for beach fishing. Since it's the Mansa (river) side of the PdE peninsula, it tends to have smaller waves.

Beautiful day and view of the port. From fishing boats to fine yachts, it is a nice stroll. Clean and safe for visitors. Enjoy the fresh fish market and watch the vendor clean and sell fish.

If you want to go to Isla de Lobos, there are some tours from Punta del Este. One tour leaves around 11.30 and come back at 14.00. Other tour leaves at 12.00 and come back around 14.00. If the weather is nice, you can swim with sealions around the island. Dont worry, the ones who lies on the island is territorial and if you get so close they bite. However, the ones whom swims are not dangerous. You can see these amazing creatures in the middle of sea. Highly recommended and tour prices are little bit expensive about 50usd.

Beautiful park with sculptures by the uruguayan artist Pablo atchugarry and other international artists. It also has a building with rotative exhibitions and two stages where free events are held.
We spent several days in the area of Jose Ignacio and Punta Del Este and on the last day of our holiday our guide brought us to Fundacion Pablo Atchugarry where we had the good fortune to meet the great man himself! Although hard at work with his team in his atelier, he took time to talk to us about his work and show us around. His marble sculptures are beautiful and a joy to behold. Make sure to see his Pietà located in the little chapel. Works of many other artists are on display in the sculpture garden and there is also an art gallery on the site. The addition of a cafe would greatly add to the enjoyment of the visit as this is a place where one wishes to linger. When visiting Uruguay this is a ‘must see’ place if you have any interest in art.

At Vina Eden we use the latest technology to make natural wines. Visitors are welcome to take guided tours to the vineyard (on electric offroad vehicles or segways) and winery, enjoy wine and tapas tastings at our lounge, lunch and a sunset menu at our restaurant and outside grill and wood oven area.
Wonderful Vineyard with Outstanding Wine Visited Viña Eden December 2018 and had a wonderful afternoon. Outstanding wine, Especially the Sparkling wine, which to me is frankly even better than French Champagne and the Cerro Negro Blend of Red Wine which is just outstanding. We had a pic-nic under a lovely tree as we were served a sandwich and an outstanding Cous Cous. We had two people waiting on us and the service was just impeccable. We also visited the production facilities and enjoyed the beautiful views. Very cool modern vineyard that is very ecologically conscious being energy self sufficient with wind and solar electricity generation (super cool!). Finally it is close to Punta and just over one hour from Montevideo making it a wonderful activity when visiting Uruguay.

This is the ocean side of the PdE peninsula, and so the waves tend to be bigger more frequently, since it is actually the open ocean (unlike the "mansa" side). It's still a largely undeveloped area.

They aren't pink! This is a site to see. Yes, too many people climbing on them but...If you build it, they will come! It does have a boardwalk to walk around the fingers. Many statues up the beautiful beach worth seeing. Nice shops and restaurants as well. Great day trip.
