This large university is one of the country's leading research institutions.
WSU, located in Pullman, Washington, is a vibrant campus where students , staff and faculty interact as a positive, supportive, focused community throughout the school year. The campus is a lovely combination of beautiful public areas, as well both older, stately buildings and eye catching state of the art modern structures surrounded by lawns and quiet areas designed for play, study and just relaxing WSU is a community where young and old can interact, learn, make friends, and grow! And, you also better like snow because winters can be long and cold!

A recreational area offering hiking, picnicking and scenic views of the Washington landscape.
This is the only place with any kind of shade in the area so there were families doing picnics and many folks walking their dogs on the main trail. You can take the west end trail for a short but challenging hike with slippery, muddy climbs, and jagged rocks. The view from top is great.

Just had my first look at the new WSU football stadium and the team training facilities. Wow! What a huge improvement. Really a first rate structure. While still small by PAC-12 standards, the Cougars can be proud of their home field. And, when filled with the Cougar faithful, the home field advantage will be highly measurable. GO COUGS!

We have been biking the trail from downtown Pullman to downtown Moscow. It's great. The only issue I have is bikers who pass with out telling you they are on your left. Where I come from all bikes say passing on your left to all walkers and other bikes.

Popular recreational park on the banks of the Snake River.
Wawawai County Park is an excellent park and camp ground. It has a hiking trail, historical plaques, a large picnic shelter, water access, and great views of the Snake. I'd absolutely love to camp here some time. It seems like a great place to launch a canoe!

Airway Hills boasts a 300-yard driving range and one of the best miniature golf courses you'll ever play. We also have a fully-stocked pro shop and the best burgers in town!
Super layout for mini-golf without the tacky conventions of typical putt-putt courses. This course is right on the road to the Pullman/Moscow airport. The prices are a bit high but the staff is friendly. There is a snack bar serving hot dogs and the best ice cream on earth, Ferdinand's, made on the local WSU campus.

As soon as you park you see the pretty ponds, surrounded by ducks at this time of year. There's a cute little waterfall feeding into the large pond too. Peaceful walking trails for a relaxing stroll. Also disc golf. And there were sheep in a pen next to the park. A relaxing, peaceful place.

Even visiting on the eve of winter, there were still beautiful flowers to see. You can walk around the paths or sit on the many benches. Very peaceful, beautiful place.

Opening in 2007, Regional Theatre Of the Palouse is the first theater to open in Pullman's historical downtown area, since 1927 when the Liberty Theater, now Rico's Pub, moved into the Cordova Theatre. Creating a theater has revealed the hidden potential of the historic Downen Building located at 122 North Grand Avenue. We are continuously trying to grow and expand to bring new opportunities to the Palouse Region. We dared to dream and discovered anything is possible. Regional Theatre of the Palouse was established, obtained 501 (c)(3) non-profit status, produced its first major musical at Beasley Coliseum and transformed a retail store into an intimate 75 seat theater all in a little over one year. We've had a busy and wonderful few years since our premiere season. We also operate the RTOP Corner, a thrift boutique and fine art gallery, located just down the block at 134 North Grand Avenue. You don't have to go to Broadway—Regional Theatre Of the Palouse is here, bringing you Broadway classics, revivals, premieres and award winning shows.
I have enjoyed going to productions here. I don't like the smoke machine they often use. I'm not a fan of the hokey intermission raffle drawing. But aside from that, I've liked everything. I've seen several productions, and my all-time favorite was Sister Act. They did just a bang-up job! It's a very intimate setting. Love it.

Promotes science, math, and technology literacy thorugh the use of educational programs, hands-on exhibits, teaching collections, and activities. The center features permanent as well as traveling exhibits. Open Tuesdays though Saturdays.
Although this center is smaller than many, it is enough to keep any kid busy. There are many stations set up around the largest room. My grandson could have stayed there an hour longer than we did. I also observed many children from toddlers to about six enjoying the little learner area, none of whom got at all bored. People can also sign their kids up for classes there during the summer. If you take a sack lunch, they have an area where you can eat it so your child can get back at discovering more. Next time we go, there will be another large room and several areas left to explore. One can't let a summer day get boring with this place available.
