Onondaga Park hosts the "Lights on the Lake" display of XMAS lights every year. I had never gone through this amazing sight before, but I did this week. WOW!!! If you have never visited the park during this colorful extravaganza, you really should! I did it just as a way to kill some time between meetings, but it would have been worth the trip even just to see that. It does cost $10.00, but well worth the expense. Go this year!

Wonder trails to walk or hike through the wood. You can rent a boat and paddle around the lake. They have educational information and hold some special events. I know in the winter you can cross country ski as well. There are picnic tables available as well.

I like it here. You can fish. Have a BBQ. Watch the boats go through the lock. I go there to play my guitar. It's a very relaxing place. (The map provided on tripadvisor is wrong. The park is off Black Creek Road.)

A dozen days of downhome fun with a focus on the great state of New York’s farming heritage and achievement adds up to a romp of a good time. A hearty mix of midway rides, concerts, exhibits and more ensures everybody has a blast. One of the biggest and longest running state fairs in America, the annual event runs until Labour Day at the New York Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
We tend to go every year. Sometimes we go once, but other years we go a few times. The latest improvements are getting better. The bathrooms are everywhere and kept very clean. The selection of food is mind blowing. The rides are cleaner, safer, and more of a selection. The best deal is the all day ride wristband. There are some of the best shows on earth to see. The great Bandaloni is my favorite check him out on you-tube .

fairly typical of regal operations, laid-back personnel (to say the least), over-priced processed food and just enough maintenance to keep ahead of the health inspectors..

We took my grandson from Florida here on Aug.3, 2016 & purchased the Super ticket which included waterslides BUT!!! the water part was closed. They said come another day--well they were leaving for Fl the next day so this was useless!
We thought they should have given a partial refund at least! They do say no refund due to weather, but this was their grid problem-NOT WEATHER--false advertising!! GO ELSEWHERE!
SO sad since this area has not much to offer & this was shameful & disappointed little boy.

Decent local brewer. THe tasting pub at the 4 corners in B-ville offers beer, not much else. A little tight quarters for a group of any more than 3 or 4, No menu. Berr is generally good, sometimes they have a hit-or-miss special brew. Mostly done well. Bring your growler. Limited hours.

Jack Nicklaus designed track with superb conditions and severely sloped and compartmentalized green complexes. If you have golf skills to the point of controlling distances and direction, you'll truly enjoy the experience. (A gps/rangefinder truly is a must).Great practice facilities as well. Please replace your divots and fix you pitch marks wherever you play.

The production value alone is worth the visit. The set design is movie level quality. There is the house, the labyrinth and a mine shaft, all high end design and stocked with what felt like dozens of actors trained to terrify you. I learned they start setting up in March, and start training the actors around June! This is a quality show.
Screamed my fool head off the entire time. Inventive, scary, well played, and sitting around after, watching the free movie on the big screen doesn't protect you from the wandering ghouls....
Highly recommend. This is a must see Halloween attraction.

Hickory Hills is a public club that is everything to do with golf. For the serious golfer who wants to play 18 holes to the toddler with a miniature golf putter, this place has it all. The course is a wide-open affair with very few trees and obstacles to get in the way and snag your golf balls, so I'd recommend this for those golfers who are just starting out without the precision accuracy needed on tighter courses. There is also a driving range with both natural and artificial hitting surfaces, so you can have your choice. A miniature golf course on the other side of the clubhouse will attract those younger users who just want to hit the ball past the blades of the windmill.
There is also a clubhouse, where you can get anything from a snack to a large meal. The sign out front says you can alseo have your propane tank filled here...which I did not try. This is a great place to have fun, and to play to your own level, whatever that level is. I do recommend it.
HINT for this place: If you are going to use the driving range, bring along $1 and $5 dollar bills, as the ball dispensing machines only take cash, and they do not give change!
