Fifty miles of trails to bike, hike, rollerblade and snow-mobile, depending on the season.
I grew up in the area, less than a mile from this trail, I can still remember when it was a railroad track and the trains would roar past in the middle of the night. When it was paves and converted to a bike trail my friends and I rode it 100's of times. I still take my young daughter riding the trail when we visit my folks.

Designed by Arnold Palmer and ranked as one of the top ten new public courses by Golf Magazine.
tough layout, if possible you should play twice - once to gape in awe at the layout and beauty of the course, once to try to keep the ball in the fairways.

Even the older kids like it. Very good at telling you the story of all the candles and how they are made. People working there are very nice and a fun time. Took some candles home very happy with them.

The Brainerd Zip Line tour was great fun for our group of 5 teenage cousins some of which had never zip lined. It was extra safe with a body harness. The free fall at the end gave everyone bragging rights. Thanks Maria! Enjoy your bragging rights!

Scenic 9 hole Par 3 golf course great for families, seniors and all ages. With holes ranging from 75-175, it winds thru the northwoods with sand and water to challenge all abilities. Challenging 18 hole miniature golf with streams and waterfalls. 10,000 sq ft wooden mystery maze. Driving Range. Picnic Pavilion. New RV Park.
I was working with a group of teens and at end summer's end we went to pizza and mini-golf. Mini golf is an attraction that is one size fits all. The less experience renders the most fun. It is a socializing event to share laughter, challenges and build friendships. This course is a mix of difficult and seemingly easy that can be difficult. Very clean, attractive and well kept..safe place for family fun.

We had a lovely evening for a cruise of Pelican Lake. It's almost always cooler on the open water in the evening, so I would bring along a jacket. The downstairs is enclosed, the upper deck is open air. The view is great from any of the seats upstairs which is where we sat. There is a full bar on the lower deck. The narrator did a nice job of telling you facts about the lake.

This was another stop on our weekend taproom tour of taprooms in lake country. Do yourself a favor and just keep on going up to big axe. It's a big space and perhaps a happening spot in the summer but in the winter, it was a little lackluster. They offer a flight of 8 that they had on tap but we asked for a smaller version and got a flight of 4. The price is reasonable, 4 samples for $8 but the size of the flight pours is probably 2ounces...maybe 3oz. They were tiny and hardly offer a chance to really taste the beer, which ended up being ok... With so many options, I'm not sure this one is worth your time.

Our customers are offered the freshest products and best service possible. Loide' supplies gourmet imported extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars for you to explore and indulge in your own culinary creations.
Loide's has an enormous selection of both olive oils (plain and flavored) and Balsamic vinegars. All are incredible. You can sample all you like. Their 18 year old Traditional Style Balsamic, while expensive, is almost beyond description. Superb. Another one I love is the Black Mission Fig. I dip cheese curds in this. Wow. The various flavors of balsamic is huge. Stop by and check it out.

A wonderful hiking experience up in the North Country, Minnesota. The original Fire Tower in Pequot Lakes is open to the public to climb up and see one of the most incredible views ever. It is a beautiful outing to take especially at sunrise or sunset for a spectacular view of the northern lakes area. Pack a lunch, there are benches and tables to stop and take a break while walking the trails up to the Fire Tower itself.
