See Florida the way it used to be…from an airboat! Loxahatchee Everglades Tours is fun, exciting and educational! Take an airboat tour and see all the wonders of nature in their natural state! Glide over a “river of grass” and along the way enjoy the flora (water lilies, sawgrass and cattails to name a few) and fauna (some might expect to see turtles, snakes, birds and alligators)! We do not cage or pen any animals and we do not feed them!enjoy these wonders in their natural habitat!
We were fortunate to have Lyle the founder of the company as our tour guide. We did the 50 minute tour since that was the only option at the last minute. I would certainly recommend a longer tour. The boats appear well maintained, were clean, & ear protection was provided. Good information provided regarding sustainability of The Everglades.

As we approach our 25th year anniversary, we are so grateful to our loyal friends & supporters. Patrons and critics alike agree this past season has been filled with some of the strongest, most creative, most exuberant productions in our history. From classics such as “Evita,” “The Rothschilds,” “Most Happy Fella,” and our current production of “Nine,” to our original shows such as “The Soul of Motor City,” “Vegas - A Night on the Strip” and our smash production of “Swing, Swing, Swing” (which we’re bringing back by popular demand) the quality of our shows has never been better! Our next season is again filled with an amazing line-up from the 40th anniversary production of “Saturday Night Fever” and a brand new, recent Broadway hit Gershwin’s “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” to astounding new shows such as “Time Step,” “Hot Latin Rhythms,” and “Imagine - A Beatles Retrospective.” Join us in celebrating 25 Years As Broward's Most Popular Award-Winning Theatre!
Nice regional theater that features excellent talent and fun shows. Theater itself could use a little updating but they put out first rate productions. Their most recent production of Saturday Night Fever was chock-full of fun, lively numbers, great humor and beautiful music & dancing....MoreThanks you Cindy, we really appreciate your support and review!

Walk through tropical, flowering gardens in six giant screened aviaries filled with twenty thousand LIVE exotic butterflies and the world's most amazing birds. Hand feed the small parrots in the Lorikeet Encounter! Botanical Gardens, Macaw Landing, Butterfly Museum, Live Bug Zoo, outdoor cafes, gift shop and garden center. This is the perfect adventure for the whole family! Gift Shop and Garden Center are open to the public!
Not only does Butterfly World have a very good collection of butterflies it also has a substantial bird aviary,a good collection of flowering plants and a bug zoo . The butterfly house and bird aviary are in separate buildings and are attractions by themselves. The flowering plant collection and bug zoo are just added bonuses. There is the mandatory gift shop which has a nice selection and a plant nursery with a variety of items for sale.
It is worth the trip to Coconut Creek just off the Florida Turnpike.

Mission “To create a stimulating and enjoyable educational visual arts experience for the South Florida community exhibiting diverse Florida, national and international artists.” About Coral Springs Museum of Art What began late in 1996 as a City project to build a comprehensive recreation and community center, soon turned into The Coral Springs Center for the Arts – a performance theater and art museum. Housed in the impressive 30,000 square foot center for the arts building is the equally impressive Coral Springs Museum of Art which was incorporated in January of 1997. With its beautiful, open architectural design, and atrium view, coupled with its warm and inviting ambiance, the Museum is unlike any other cultural institution – it is a unique place for all to experience the passion and beauty of the visual arts. Throughout the organization’s tenure, the profound philosophy that art is for everyone remains, and the Museum is unwavering in its commitment in demolishing the stigma ass
The Coral Springs Museum of Art is co-located with the Center for the Art, a concert hall, which appears to be why the reviews on TripAdvisor mix descriptions of the arts with descriptions of concerts. We visited the museum, which is a small, well-lighted space that features rotating exhibits of contemporary artists (there appears to be no permanent collection). The exhibits were interesting, the staff was nice, and the admission fee was very reasonable. Coral Springs is fortunate to have such a nice facility.

It’s nice to take a stroll on their boardwalk. Their are a few nicely places restaurants where you can stop and have a drink or enjoy a meal. Off the boardwalk but on the beach there are a few volleyball nets where you can join in on a game. Bring a chair and enjoy the waves and scenery. It’s very relaxing. Enjoy

Sugar Sand Park features the Community Center, which houses the Children's Science Explorium and the Willow Theatre; and the Field House, which features an indoor gymnasium. Developed by the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and operated by the City of Boca Raton, this 132-acre park continues its commitment to enhance the role of recreation and culture for residents and visitors alike. Sugar Sand Park is open 365 days a year - the Community Center and Children's Science Explorium are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Built to American Society for Testing & Materials standards, the Science Playground is strong and safe, with a soft, impact-attenuating ground surface. This surface is also the key to the wayfinding feature, allowing parents and children to pinpoint their exact location within the playground through identifying markings. The inclusive playground features new swings, slides, and an expanded climbing structure that allows for greater access to people of all ages and abilities, and greater visibility for parents and children alike. The updated interactive water feature showcases a variety of sea creatures, and a new train station-themed toddler play area has been added.
I did sty in Boca for just 5 days and my little one took me to this place 3 out the 5 days. The Explorium... is amazing with all the thing they have to explore and tried... The Playground is soo nice you can expend the whole day there... THIS IS A MUST if you visit Boca

Promenade at Coconut Creek is North Broward County's premier open air shopping and dining experience, featuring over 36 stores and boutiques, 14 restaurants and Silverspot Cinema, a state-of-the-art 11 screen luxury theatre! Shopping, food, and fun await at the corner of Lyons Road and Wiles Road in Coconut Creek, FL. General hours of 10am - 9pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm - 6pm on Sunday. Individual store hours will vary.
I love the Promenade. It's been such a great addition to Coconut Creek. It's a place people can meet up to eat, browse, get pampered, or catch a movie. Whenever I have guests in from out of town I bring them over and they never fail to be impressed.
For entertainment one of my favorite places is the Silverspot. They have $8 movies on Tuesdays. The chairs are over sized and comfy. You can even have the restaurant there bring food and alcoholic beverages to your seat.
Also on Tuesdays you can get the $5 burger at Bar Louie a few doors down. The have a half priced appetizer and $5 martini happy between 5 and 7. The restaurants range from the upscale like Ethos Greek Bistro to the casual Rubios Coastal grill. If you like an adult beverage World of Beer is a fun and casual spot to meet up with friends to grab a cold one. Cooper's Hawk Winery is a recent addition to the Promenade catering to wine lovers. Starbucks will satisfy you caffeine craving while Cold Stone Creamery is a great place to grab desert.
I never fail to get a great haircut at Pyure. They give you a hand massage with lotion with your cut. It is so relaxing. I hit up European Wax when I need eyebrow shaping.
The Promenade is a great place to get a unique gift. When I want to gift costume jewelry or a cute bag I head over to Charming Charlie. I could easily kill an hour browsing that store. Pizazz has one of a kind and affordable gifts for anyone on your list. It's Sugar is another great store to pick up a gift. They have so many unique candies as well as novelty items.
The Promenade has wide sidewalks and plenty of parking. You can either park in the garage or if you are talented enough there is parallel parking in front of the shops. The landscaping is extremely well kept up. There is a very nice fountain at the entrance on Lyons Road. You will never see garbage on the streets and everything looks very pristine. I always feel safe leaving my car as I often see security circling around. There is something for everyone and it's a great spot to meet up with a friend. In addition they often have events during the holidays. A full listing of events as well as job openings can be found on their website.

This small park was one of the last areas of undisturbed cypress swamp in the county, and it was preserved, apparently, through the efforts of a group of local high school students. Kudos to them. Walking the boardwalk through the swamp allows you to see what Florida looked like before all the development that has taken place. We mostly saw butterflies and geckos on our walk, but it may have been the time of day that we went. It was definitely worth the brief stop.

Excellent City of Margate park that offer the great sport of USAPA "Pickleball" Official Courts and rental equipment. ~ This is the newest up and coming sport for we are . (see photo)
(usapa.org/what-is-pickle…) ~ A great place for people to enjoy the social aspects and the ability to stay active within their town. ~
They built "Safety Town" ~ an adorable children bicycle training course with 1/10 size buildings, railroad crossing and roadways are a great place to bring a toddler Bicycle Safety. ~ (1999). (see photo)
They have great bathrooms, water fountains, lighted basketball courts & tennis courts, mini soccer , vita course ~ But remember the lack of large trees and shade is made up of with numerous covered picnic tables.
Someplace you can go and exercise or just to a walk.
~ Cheers
