We enjoyed a lot there. Chandanwari would give you a chance to play with the snow. It is beautiful place with Lidder River flowing very closely. At this place, there was snow and jackets and boots are available on rentals. This is the gateway of Amarnath yatra. Best time to visit this place is from March to April.

Mamleshwar is considered to be an ancient temple that probably dates back to 400 AD. It is located at just a mile away from Pahalgam town. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and stands across the Kolahoi stream up towards the mountain. According to legend, this is the temple where Ganesha was placed as door keeper not to allow anyone to enter the temple without his permission. Mam Mal means don't go, and thus it is also known as Mammal temple. Tourists from across the world throng the temple during their holidays in Pahalgam.
There are two main temples, each lying on either side of the river Narmada. It is better to first visit Mamleshwar jyotirling, which is very ancient and less crowded, and then move to Omkareshwar jyotirling, for which either you can take the boat or cross the river through bridge. Omkareshwar temple is crowded and has market nearby. You can take bath in the river as well, there are ghats for it.
