Very good museum with family friendly exhibits. The admission is reasonable. If you have any interest in airplanes then you must go.

The Paine Art Center and Gardens is a historic estate with art galleries and display gardens, located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The historic Paine estate serves as a multi-faceted museum for learning and inspiration. The museum preserves the mansion, surrounding architectural structures, and many of the interiors as they were created by founders Nathan and Jessie Kimberly Paine. Selections from the museum's art collection, much of which was acquired by Nathan and Jessie, are featured in the many rooms and settings of the estate. Outdoors, the Paine maintains and enhances numerous display gardens as "galleries" of horticulture with varied designs and thousands of plant specimens. In addition, the museum presents a wide variety of changing art exhibitions, from historical to contemporary, within the estate's galleries and gardens. The Family Discovery Gallery, located on the house's lower level, offers "hands on" activities about architecture, art, and gardens for people of all ages.

Three friends visited this wonderful museum and the Nutcracker Exhibit. The facility (build as a home for a couple that never lived there) is now a museum that has special exhibitions throughout the year. This exhibit was amazing- filled with nutcrackers and 70 unbelievably decorated Christmas trees. We hope to come back again next year.

Love taking the grandkids to the kids play area there...They LOVE it. The whole park is beautiful and well maintained. Always something going on there. The grandkids love going on the little train ride too. Only 1.25 per person. The Zoo was free this year because of a donation someone made...which made it nice, as the zoo is small and just ok in my book. Not sure if I would go if I had to pay tho.
Overall, it is a great park!!

To all the participants, thank you. This is always a busy place during the summer. Our downtown is just full of people searching for a unique gift or some really good, fresh produce, flowers or bakery. 2 blocks of downtown's mainstreet is blocked off for this event and I look forward to it every week.

Oshkosh museum has opened their new permanent exhibit "People of the Waters". It is very informative, educational, and interactive as well. Learn about Wisconsin natives, their culture, and evolution. Visit an archeological dig. Enter a winter long house and see how Native Americans lived, kept warm, and told stories to pass along to the next generation. View the artifacts along the display case timeline. See a real dug out canoe and a birchbark canoe. Learn how the natives put everything they came into contact with to good use! While you are there visit the temporary Native American art exhibit (until October 8). Well worth your time!

I always start in Hortonville and my friend and I take our dogs. It's a well groomed, wide trail with great scenery. I'd like to take my bike on the trail sometime.....if I can just get past those enticing eyes of my dogs who love the outdoors!

The Grand Opera House is a historic opera house located at the corner of High Avenue and Market Street in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It was built in 1883, and has since undergone two renovations. The first renovation took place during the 1980s and the second in 2009. The theater was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The Grand is owned by the City of Oshkosh and leased to and operated by the non-profit Oshkosh Opera House Foundation.

We enjoyed a performance of "The Spitfire Grill" here and thoroughly enjoyed the show. The theater is smaller and we enjoyed the quaintness of it. Our only complaint was that an usher allowed a couple to be seated in the front row after the lights had gone down and the opening scene had started. It definitely interrupted the flow and we wish the usher had waited to seat them until a scene change. The theater itself is lovely and clean.

The kids really enjoy going to the waterpark. Two waterslides and a splash pad. I can't keep my daughter out of the lazy river. It's not a huge place and can get kinda cramped for space on really hot days. Has everything you need from lockers to concessions for a reasonable price.

Twice a year, the university cooperates with local food pantries to distribute canned goods, frozen items, fresh produce, and toiletries to people in need. Kolf Gym is transformed into a well organized distribution center. Students, staff, and faculty from the university as well as volunteers from local schools and the community distribute the food. Oshkosh poverty is on full display at this event. So is kindness. Way to go Titans.
