Bjorn & Vildmark is the interface in between the visitor of the Siljan area in Dalarna and the Scandinavian Brown Bear Research Project. We offer Small Bearexcursions for families with younger Children, Bear research excursions for adults amd older Children (from about 10 years) and excursions with included overnight stay. Additionally we offer accomodation in the bear research area and conference facility. Booking on request only.

We actually stayed here over the night in our tent in the wood near by. It’s a very steep road to get “down” to the river and waterfall, so a bit hard (especially with a 3yrs old and a newborn, hah!). But it’s beautiful. Near by you’ll find a “toilet” and a wind shelter. Please, don’t leave your trash here (so sad to have to pick up others trash!).

Koppangens nature reserve is located north of Orsa in Dalarna, and is a protected area covered by vast marshes and old forest. The magnificent nature is a paradise for skiers and nature lovers, and you are welcome to follow a guided ski trip in this lovely environment. The trip takes about three hours, and we ski in the morning to get a sustainable crust on the snow.
