The Abborra footpath is our newest trail. It's quite short, only 1,2 km but with the outdoor gym it is perfect for a whole-body training experience. It's located about 5-10 minutes from the city center and is located beside the lake Hjalmsjon, and goes around the smaller lake Abborra. This trail is also perfect if you have a stroller or wheelchair. There is a BBQ area and off-leash areas for dogs.
The Abborraleden is just a small walk around a lake. It is 1.5km. There are many other marked routes in the area and they are definitely worth a visit.

Welcome to Ingeborrarp Open-air Museum and Inn – where, during the high-season (April-September), you can stroll among the houses and experience how it was to live and work here 150 years ago. You can also enjoy an excellent meal in our beautiful inn. . In the farm shop you will find everything from the Local Historical Society’s books to lemonade, jam, honey, local handicrafts and much more.
It is yet another open-air museum depicting the days of yore. It consists of iron and tree museum and an old household part. The church ruins are near by. Nice areas to walk, there are horses around. There is a gift shop and a nice restaurant. The ticket is 20sek. It is not a must-see but can be interesting if you are passing by - make a break from a motorway ride and walk amongst some old buildings.

Don't go there. It's just at pile of rocks situated in a residential area. We were there for 5 minutes. not worth the drive.

The hill was built by soldiers, trying to protect themselves from the Danes. Another war had taken place here, some decades ago in the 17th century. Then there had been a massacre. So the Swedes, with Gustaf Otto Stenbock in command, built Orkelljunga Skansar 1657 while waiting for back up. The Danish leader withdrew when he saw the Swedish camp.
A man from Copenhagen was going to make a new bell for the church here. The man sent his apprentice Fante to Orkelljunga with a silver bell. However, when the bell rang, people could hear it all the way to Copenhagen. The master got suspicious of why the bell rang so loud and went to Orkelljunga. When he realized that the apprentice had used way too much silver in the bell, he killed him.
The Larkesholm hiking area consist of an hikinh trail around the larger of the two lakes in Larkesholm. It may sound simple but it is very beautiful. The lake follows you around the trail and offer a stunning view. No wonder this place is so popular!
Mammas vik - a beach near the city center of Orkelljunga, but still very leafy and calm. With jetty, playground for kids, an outdoor gym and a BBQ place.
