Oleta River State Park

These trails, built on flat land, are full of technical challenges.

This park is amazing. Its 4bucks if youre by yourself in a car. 6 bucks if youre with other in the car. Me and boys come out here when we want to get away from the office for a day. We usually end up fishing on the pier. Or finding a nice opening among the mangrove trails. You do need a rec. Fishing licence to fish (fwc does check). They do have a beach.....but no waves. They have campgrounds for over night stay. Amazing mountain bike trials from newbies to experts. Kayak rentals so you can explore the mangroves canals and make your way to the haulover sandbar!! (Kayaks and bike rentals are like 25$ min dont quote me) they have cabana rentals. Over an all its a nice spot to be in to forget the city.....while being in the city.

Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park

Reviewed By MrMiamiExplorer - Miami, United States

Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park is one of my favorite parks & nature preserves in North Miami. Admission and parking are free. There are nature trails through the beautiful forest, as well as a farm, butterfly garden, playground, and plenty of open green space. The abundance of plant and animal life is a nature photographer's dream, and I will keep returning. The only negative is that every time I visit, including today, there are homeless trying to live under the picnic shelters, and probably illegally sleeping in the park after closing as well.

A Painting Fiesta

A Painting Fiesta Studio was founded by a group of young talented artists, and educators providing art classes to children, teens, and adults. The concept began as weekly gathering where students along local community artists developed a fun stress-free environment making beautiful works of art. Our theme is "Multi-Cultural Fiesta" we try to incorporate artists of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and styles to instruct our lessons in a thorough step-by-step process. At the same time students will gain knowledge about art history, geography, and artist techniques around the globe.
