When we decided on Howard Street Inn, we had thought that it would be a bit more decorated for Cinco de Mayo and put us in the mood for Margaritas. Well, though there were Cinco de Mayo specials, there were no decorations, like there had been for Mardi Gras. Our server, Cristina, was at the table quickly with menus and took our drink order. After reviewing the menus, we decided on the three chicken enchiladas for Mexican. I also ordered the appetizer portion of the rib tips. For a regular appetizer, we ordered the mac & cheese wedges. The mac & cheese wedges were pretty good and there was a cup of marinara dipping sauce. The three enchiladas was pretty good and came with rice and a verde salsa. The smaller rib tips portion was the perfect size (I couldn't even finish those), and they tasted as good as any rib tips that I ever had working on the West Side of Chicago. We finished with the cinnamon puffs for a dessert. Our only suggestion on the cinnamon puffs, is don't be stingy with the powdered sugar or the cinnamon. Though the powdered sugar doesn't have to be like a beignet at the Cafe du Monde in NOLA, there does need to be more. The total price was reasonable and we never got a Margarita. Cristina was very efficient, friendly and attentive.

It is a good visit on a boring Sunday afternoon. We went as a family, took some pics, hung out and had lunch at the nearby Cafe. It is really a cool place. Great to combine with northern suburb visit or go to the Bahi temple or go to Devon avenue or northern beaches. Can also go down to the city - Chicago from here. It made for a good drive during covid and we needed something do to.

Awesome and relaxing experience. I went with my two sisters and we spent the whole day there trying all of the 11 different sauna rooms, some even twice. We also had a very tasty and filling Korean lunch at the on-site cafe. The place is spotless and warm and inviting throughout. We also enjoyed the chair and foot massages we had after warming up in the different sauna rooms. The wet spa area is same sex only and no swim wear is allowed in the "wet room" which consists of 3 hot tubs with varying temperatures, a cold refreshing lap pool, a steam room, a number of standing and seated showers stalls and a dedicated area for body scrubs. This is the perfect place to detoxify and relax on a cold winter day!
