There is so much in this museum and it is so well presented, including narratives on the exhibits. Fortunately, the museum is not swamped with visitors so you have plenty of time to absorb what you are seeing and to spend time by your favourite items - I particularly liked their own version of the terracotta army (a lot more variety in their characters).

This museum - located in the old part of Nicosia - is a great way to learn about the history of Nicosia itself - going back thousands of years to more recent times. The museum has an excellent collection which is enhanced by well produced interactives and virtual tours. Best of all it is free. A must see.

The church is located in the woods and the drive to the church is really scenic. It has amazing frescoes very well preserved. A book is on sale which offers full details. No audio guide. There is no artificial light inorder to preserve the frescoes. Wear comfortable shoes as the path to the church is cobblestone but access is not difficult. Can combine the visit here with lunch to one of the restaurants in the vicinity.

We had a really nice relaxing day at that park despite the 40 degree temperature! We feed the ducks, turtles and fish in the lake, had a few drinks, ice cream, cheap prices, play a little baggamon under the shade and after a little more walk we made our way back home!!

This monastery is an integral part of Cyprus's modern history and located in an idyllic location overlooking the valley. I set it as my half-way point while cycling the gorgeous and quiet hilly roads of Machairas and it was an uplifting place to visit.

A microbrewery/brewhouse in the heart of Nicosia's old town. πιβο is a family owned microbrewery that was co-founded by four brothers who share their passion for beer, knowledge, experience, innovation and creativity. Come along and enjoy our fresh brewed beers in a traditional house of 1910 in the heart of Nicosia’s old town. Watch how we brew in action, have a chat with the brewers and enjoy
The only city in the world, which is the capital of two states at once: Nicosia. Accurate exactly five meters from the dividing line is the only micro-brewery in Nicosia with the original name Πίβο. Four regular varieties are the Weissen, a dark lager, a hopped-up light red ale (so called Hoppy) and pils. At the time of our visit, there was another extra-stout No Exit and AIPA Antistressful on the tap. Open brewing allows you to monitor the work process. The bar is beautiful - bright and modern. At the same time, there are not all these new-fashioned "crafting" elements such as uncouth boards in the interior or, for example, beer in old enamel mugs. Pils - wonderful, has not received such pleasure from light beer for a long time. Weitzen is sweet. The dark lager is not mine at all. Ale - interesting: the aroma of hops is powerful, but bitterness is very small; an excellent balanced. Plus to beer go cookies of spargins with salt. In general, 5 points out of 5.

Great panoramic views of the entire city, including the northern part. Views across to the surrounding country and mountains. Within the observatory, there are photos with descriptions of what you can see looking straight out in that direction. You can clearly see the green line between the north and the south. Very small admission fee. Spend a bit of time to watch the video.
